Before and after our backyard renovations

We've cried, dug in the pouring rain, made 400 trips to Bunnings, had kids playing in the mud, strained oblique muscles, moved 1000 bricks 🧱

But I'm so proud of the result

We;

- Added deck
- Painted alfresco beams
- Added outdoor heaters
- Electric blinds
- Removed balustrades
- Dug up tress and never ending roots
- In ground trampoline
- New lawn with soakwells
- Retic
- Wall mounted shelving

Thanks for the concepts, the help in the rain 🌧️ and for believing in my sub par handyman skills

My client Pete for the deck

for the blinds

My Dad for all the hard work over many weekends

Bumper (our blind rabbit) for putting up with a constantly changing backyard

My client Steve for help on the retic

Our kids for helping with shovels and wheelbarrows and for keeping things fun

All family and friends for the help

Three tips to stay in shape as you get older.

1. Do some mobility work
Injuries stop you from training, which already is a hard habit to maintain. 20 minutes, 2–3 times a week makes a huge difference. Keep it simple, stretch the spots that feel the tightest for you.

2. Breathe before bed
Stress is the biggest physique killer out there.
I love 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out. You’ll sleep better, recover faster and have energy to train.

3. Take out some drinking nights
A good hack is swapping a beer or wine for bone broth or another non-alcoholic option during the week.

Spot the difference between photo 1 and 2🔎
5 things are different can you pick it?

Answers below 👇

1. I've got no hair
2. I'm 15 years older
3. I'm not wearing fake tan
4. I've got hair on my body
5. I'm 40 and don't just live a one dimension fitness life

I'm prouder of the first photo. Taken by

Because now I play sport. Have a family. Drink alcohol. Don't spend my weekends meal prepping.
Don't count calories or hypfocus on food.

Living in the real world just like you.

And have stayed in great shape and injury free by following a few key principals;

1. Lift weights for 20 mins 3x a week with workouts that work for an older body
2. Do mobility work 2x a week. Simple but consistent.
3. Eat a balanced diet and add in easy nutrient dense snacks and drinks and enjoy my weekends

Massive thanks to for letting me be a human subject (my photo’s the last one).

Usually he’s behind the lens capturing incredible shots of police dogs in action but yesterday he turned the camera on me

The effort, attention to detail and quality of the final images honestly blew me away.

Give his page a follow and if you’ve got something you’d love photographed, reach out he may be able to help.

Assisted stretching/ Stretch to Win

We use assisted fascial stretching to improve clients flexibility and reduce pain. A typical session involves mobilisation of joints, decompression of hips and lower backs and gentle full body stretching to release muscles which have been tight for many years.

Our clients report significantly reduced pain and free movement after the first session and we have helped clients with pinching hips, chronic lower back pain and many other conditions move and feel better using Stretch to Win.

Our services are claimable under private health and all of our therapists are highly qualified and passionate body workers.
