1. Limit Distractions: Turn off the TV or radio before speaking.
2. Speak Clearly: Use a calm, reassuring tone. Avoid speaking too quickly.
3. Use Simple Sentences: Ask one question at a time.
4. Be Patient: Allow plenty of time for them to respond. Don't interrupt or rush them.
5. Use Non-Verbal Cues: A warm smile and gentle touch can communicate more than words.
