As an auditor I hear many times from providers, “Oh not every participant needs a Emergency Disaster Management Plan” and my response is always “Yes they do!!”

If you’re an NDIS provider in an affected area, now is the time to enact your emergency management plan to ensure you’re able to maintain services to participants in your care.

Please be aware that non-urgent hospital appointments may be postponed. Any travel to hospital or other health services should be carefully considered, noting the safety risks posed by extreme weather.

Call 000 if a participant is experiencing a critical breakdown in services that puts them at an immediate safety risk.
