WHAT HAPPENS AT A CONSULTATION?
_______________________________
We arrange a day and time as soon as possible for your home visit. At the home visit we discuss all your concerns. It is important that breastfeeding is comfortable:
- We ensure your positioning and attachment is optimal.
- We need to know your baby is getting the milk she/he needs:
- We weigh your baby with accurate sensitive scales before then after the breastfeed, the difference in grams is the weight of your breastmilk, this very closely equates to mLs your baby receives for that feed. Together we then develop a management plan to address all concerns. I will provide you with relevant written evidenced based information handouts, as needed. It is very important for you to feel supported, happy and confident with breastfeeding:
To this end we have frequent ongoing telephone/text/email contact after the home visit for the next 6 weeks. This ensures we follow through on your plan, monitor your progress and adjust the plan as we need. On average 6 hours contact (including weekend contact as needed). The total cost is $350. If further home visits are required, these are $150 per revisit. Claimable from some health funds.

We had a day walking around Yerevan seeing the sights of the city. The Cascade complex houses an amazing sculpture selection gifted to the city by an Armenian American philanthropist. A lovely mural painted on an old Soviet housing complex. A little movie of our lunch restaurant where we had dolma, kinkalli (dumpling) and katchapuri (sort of veggie and cheese pizza). We found out later it was all Georgian food! Very, very nice though. A shot of a couple of old Armenians sitting in the park on our way to catching the underground. All in all a very pleasant first day here.

Arrived in the land of the boab tree to stay for a few weeks in this glorious weather. Debbie works while I sometimes tag along. The photo of the felt animals was taken at a community play group. A few months ago a womens’ group in town had a felting workshop by an artist from Melbourne. They made this amazing collection of fish, fishing nets, people and a mat representing the river bank and river for the kids to play with at the play group. Of course the photos I took of a few of the pieces does not do it justice but what an inspiration it was to see. The teacher told us how much the kids love to lay it all out and cast the net over the school of mullet to get the bait so they can catch the Barra. Then they load up the Toyota to bring all the people and gear back home to cook up the feed.👍🏿

We have had a beautiful stay in Dunkeld. Royal Mail kitchen garden tour was great. They grow badger beetroot, edames, shiitake mushrooms and lots of rare veggies. 80% of the veggies in their restaurants are grown here. Drinks at the Royal Mail with GN.
