I’ve been with mums during their pregnancies and births for 10 years and counting, mostly in places around the world where resources and dignity are lacking. I’ve enjoyed learning about birth from women in the nations, and now I’m stoked to offer a nurturing and relaxed presence to women birthing in Perth. I’m a mum to an almost one year old and married to a South African Aussie, I enjoy strong coffee and a good playlist, and I’m keen to support a n y o n e but have a special spot in my heart for first time, VBAC, and physiological/natural birth mums. I’m hoping this space will be a little safe corner for questions to be answered, birth stories honoured, and life welcomed with joy.

it’s an honour to share tazmin’s birth story of gabriel - I think her story is a great example of a first time mum who researched and knew what she wanted for her birth, and then assembled a birth team who was supportive of that. a room full of safe people leads to a labour that (usually) goes quickly and smoothly. happy reading!
