My philosophy as a therapist is deeply rooted in honouring the client in front of me as a unique human being. Rather than focusing on labels or diagnoses, I like to meet individuals where they are and what they are going through, recognising that what they are experiencing does not define who they are. Having spent over ten years working deeply through my own challenges - anxiety, panic attacks, and what some may refer to as ADHD, addiction, and an eating disorder, Iโ€™ve learned the power we all have inside to heal. Through thousands of hours of self-exploration and meditation, supported by loved ones and therapists, I discovered that we all have this innate wisdom to navigate and overcome our life obstacles. With support that felt nurturing and accepting for all that I am, I was able to access that inner strength, and I strongly believe that everyone holds this same potential. My lifeโ€™s work is built on creating a space where others can feel free to be themselves, expand their awareness, and unlock their innate power. Whether Iโ€™m working with adults or teens, I love to create a collaborative space filled with connection, compassion, and curiosity, where you feel supported to explore lifeโ€™s challenges and find your own path forward. As a qualified Holistic Counsellor and Meditation therapist (IICT), and soon to be Psychotherapist (PACFA/ACA), I am particularly devoted to the areas of chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, and personal & spiritual growth. My goal is to create a safe container where you can heal from the root, develop a strong internal compass, and feel truly empowered and in control of your life. I am based in Perth, Australia providing support to people worldwide of all ages, including teenagers (15+). Areas of expertise:

For anyone who is new to meditation or mindfulness.

It can be a struggle in the beginning. You may get caught in a web of boredom, overthinking and frustration, which can quickly lead to chucking in the towel. It doesn't help that there is a ton of conflicting information out there too, which can be confusing.

I've started offering online help sessions for anyone who may be interested. Designed to answer any of your lingering questions or just get some tips and support so you feel clearer and more confident about the process.

Feel free to DM me or visit my website www.mindhabitat.org

Some of the most damaging lessons happen early in life.

Think how early in your life you were made to feel that you needed to have all the answers.

It's likely you were constantly asked about your "future" & were almost always expected to have an answer.

If you didn't, you probably felt worried & anxious that you should.

You were probably left with the sense that everyone else must know, but you.

You probably thought, "why is it so easy for everyone else"?

We're conditioned early to think that we need to have the answer.

That we need to know how our future looks...

What our "plan" is
What we want to "do" with our life

We're constantly robbed of being fully here & now; & enjoying the life that we actually have.

Weโ€™re so afraid of this expectation that we often end up doing anything to show that we do "know".

People will do anything that allows them to answer the questions with conviction.

Studying anything.
Training in something.
Working somewhere.

But the truth is, no one has a clue, & that's how it's meant to be.

Your not supposed to know how your life will look, what you want to do 20 years from now, or how you should spend all your time.

How would you really have any idea?

Who you are today is not who you will be tomorrow, if you are truly living life today.

If you allow things to unfold naturally, to feel uncomfortable without knowing how things are going to turn out,

if you allow things to just be, that's when you feel most alive.

It's the uncertainty that makes life worth living.

Itโ€™s about having the ability to say "I don't know what's going to happen, but I know it's going to be okay".

If there is one thing I have learned, it's that plans change because everything changes.

When we fixate on how it should be or what we had planned, we set ourselves up for so much suffering.

๐Ÿ˜ฎ If it starts happening differently, we struggle
๐Ÿ˜ฎ If we feel differently, we keep forcing it.
๐Ÿ˜ฎ If it's time to let it go, we don't.

We feel more peaceful and confident when we just accept the reality.

No one has a clue & thatโ€™s how it should be.

Everywhere I look at the moment, people are being diagnosed with ADHD.

It's not that what they are feeling and going through isn't fully valid, but is it really that every 10th person has ADHD?

Or are we living in a world where we haven't learned:
๐Ÿ”‘ How we can be stressed emotionally and spiritually, without conscious awareness?
๐Ÿ”‘ About childhood trauma and how we all carry it with us everyday
๐Ÿ”‘ How to emotionally regulate
๐Ÿ”‘ How to regulate our Nervous System

It's no coincidence that over the last 2 years of living in a pandemic fuelled by fear and stress that more people are being diagnosed.

The greater the stress levels, the more heightened our symptoms and experiences.

Which is why it's no surprise people are feeling more anxious, unable to concentrate, have a mind that won't and body that won't sit still.

The body is literally wired to the nth degree.

We have to remember that we are greater than a diagnosis or a label.

We are human beings who go through an experience or multiple experiences and when we understand that we are not our experiences, we have the power to change them ๐Ÿ’™
