Food is not only fuel or energy it actually talks to your body on a cellular level. Every bite you eat sends signals that influence how your body functions.

Here’s how:

Genes & DNA expression: Nutrients can switch certain genes on or off. For example, antioxidants in berries can activate protective pathways that lower inflammation.

Hormones & messengers: Protein increase satiety hormones like leptin and ghrelin, fiber stabilises insulin response, and fats influence hormone production.

Gut signals: What you eat feeds your microbiome, which then produces compounds that affect mood, digestion, immunity, even weight balance.

Inflammation & repair: Omega-3s reduce inflammation, while processed foods can ramp it up.

Cellular function: Vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients act like instructions that tell your cells how to produce energy, repair damage, and detoxify.

After a long battle with weight loss it took me a while to realise that loosing weight:


  • Takes time and effort.

  • It is a long term commitment
  • So I developed a lifestyle over a long period of time by changing my eating habits, changing stress coping strategies, stopped succumbing to pressures. In other words I became myself with no filter.
