Reduction and Lift (Reduction mammaplasty and mastopexy)
Before and 3 months post surgery.
As can be seen, this young woman not only had macromastia (large breasts) but also significant asymmetry of the left and right sides.
She underwent bilateral reduction and lift with a Short Scar Technique.

Reduction and lift (Reduction Mammaplasty)
Preop and 3 months post op.
Correction of the significant asymmetry - as well as a general reduction in size and lifting - were the goals of this operation for this young patient.
In addition, I aim to keep scars to an absolute minimum, with short scars where possible. Note that there are no visible scars along the sides of the chest.

Upper eyelid blepharoplasty (upper eyelid lift) before and 3 months post surgery.
Excess hooding of the upper eyelids and asymmetry of the upper eyelids were the main areas addressed in this young woman’s procedure.
In her case, the operation was done as a day case procedure and her sutures were removed after 1 week.
Light activities - such as gentle walking - were allowed for the first 2-3 weeks and then she returned to normal activities.

Upper eyelid lift (Upper blepharoplasty)
Before surgery and 3 months post surgery.
Not all patients who benefit from this procedure are elderly. Here is an example of a young woman who has always felt a heaviness in her upper eyelids. There are also some minor differences in the shape between the two sides, which were adjusted during the surgery. Surgical goals here are : keeping the scars as well hidden as possible, correcting the heavy excess skin and deeper tissues, and correcting the asymmetry.
The procedure is done under a general anaesthetic, but patients can go home the same day. No heavy exercise, gym etc for 2-3 weeks but otherwise most usual daily activities can be resumed within a few days of the surgery.

Lift procedure (also known as Mastopexy).
Pre-op and 3 months post surgery.
This procedure has several aims, depending on the patient’s wishes and individual circumstances.
Areas that are often focused on are:
Excess skin removal
Reducing the size of the ar**la (the pigmented skin)
Elevation and repositioning.
Correction of asymmetric height or size.
My goals in addition to this are keeping the length of the scars to an absolute minimum

Asymmetry correction and lift.
These photos are taken before and 3 months after surgery.
This patient came to see me with concerns about the significant difference in height, shape and size of her breasts. A previous operation had been done elsewhere several years ago but there were still some differences that were continuing to get more pronounced as the years went by. In this instance a lift on both sides was performed together with a minor reduction in size of her left side. Careful planning preoperatively involved accurate assessment of the size difference as well as anatomical measurements for repositioning.
No implants were inserted.
