Yesterday, on behalf of the Art of Living Foundation Perth, I had the privilege of facilitating World Meditation Day at the Consulate General of India, 12 St George’s Terrace, with the generous support of ISWA.
Our group settled into a shared space of deep calm and inner stillness, and it was heartening to witness how quickly the room shifted into silence and presence. Participants shared overwhelmingly positive reflections afterwards, describing a renewed sense of clarity, lightness, and inner balance — a reminder of how powerful collective meditation can be.
A heartfelt thank you to the Consulate General of India for hosting us, to ISWA for their collaboration, and to every participant who brought sincerity and openness to the session. Your presence made the experience truly meaningful.
Here’s to continuing to spread peace and well-being across our Perth community.

Are you feeling the weight of the year, held tight in your neck and spine? 🧘‍♂️

Stop scrolling for just 120 seconds. Let’s move that stagnant energy and prepare your body for deep rest with this simple seated flow:

✨ The 2-Minute Reset:

Anchor Down: Find a comfortable seat, spine tall, hands on your knees.

Seated Cow: Inhale, push your chest forward, lift your heart, and look up.

Seated Cat: Exhale, pull your belly inward, round your spine, and tuck your chin. Repeat this flow twice more to shed tension.

The Twist: Inhale tall, then exhale as you twist gently to the right, using your left hand on your right knee for support. Repeat on the left side.

Notice the shift? That simple movement just primed your nervous system and unlocked the door to deeper stillness.

As we honour the Solstice shift from darkness to light, join us for a powerful one-hour experience of renewal and global unity through inner peace.

Let’s continue our journey to celebrate World Meditation Day. Today, it is day four, and the focus is on strength and stability. Balance is strength. Asanas like the tree pose remind us of sthira — stability. Stand firm, breathe deeply, and feel rooted.
Begin with standing postures. Ground your feet, engage your core, and lift your chest. Notice how strength arises not from tension, but from alignment.
Patanjali teaches that yoga is steady and joyful. Strength is not about force; it is about balance. Today, cultivate strength with gentleness.
Reflect: when the body is stable, the mind feels secure. Carry this stability into your day. Stand tall in your actions, rooted in values, yet flexible in response.
This strength prepares us for meditation. Tomorrow, we will explore flexibility and ease. For now, honour the balance between firmness and softness.

Let’s continue our journey to celebrate World Meditation Day.
“Day Three is about purification. Patanjali speaks of śauca — purity. A pure body supports a pure mind. External purification is keeping the body pure; a dirty man will never become a Yogi. There must be internal purification also. Of course internal purity is of greater value that external, but both are necessary, and external purity, without internal, is of no good.
As you move, notice thoughts that arise. Release what no longer serves you, just as the body releases tension.
Reflect: when the body feels lighter, the mind feels clearer. Today, carry this clarity into your interactions. Speak with kindness, act with awareness, and let purity guide your choices.
This cleansing prepares us for deeper practice. Tomorrow, we will explore strength and stability. For now, honor the body as a temple, keeping it clear and open.
And remember, this journey culminates on World Meditation Day, 22nd December. Join us at Art of Living and Prasanna Chitta Yoga to celebrate peace together.”

“Namaste and welcome to Day One of our 21‑day journey to celebrate World Meditation Day inspired by Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Over the next three weeks, we will prepare the body, calm the mind, and experience the joy of meditation. This journey culminates on 22nd December, when we join thousands around the globe for World Meditation Day — a collective celebration of inner peace and universal harmony.

Patanjali begins with the timeless truth: Yogaḥ citta‑vṛtti‑nirodhaḥ — yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. But before we can quiet the mind, we must prepare the body, because the body is the doorway to stillness.
Today, let us focus on creating a strong yet gentle foundation. Begin with simple stretches — rolling the shoulders back, opening the chest, lengthening the spine. As you move, breathe deeply, inhaling to expand, exhaling to release. Notice how the breath and body move together, like waves rising and falling.
Patanjali reminds us: Sthira sukham āsanam — the seat of yoga is steady and joyful. So as you stand or sit, find that balance between firmness and ease. Feel your feet grounded, your spine tall, your face relaxed. This posture is not just physical; it is an attitude of stability and openness.
Take a moment to reflect: when the body is restless, the mind follows. But when the body is steady, the mind begins to settle. Today, carry this awareness into everything you do — whether walking, sitting, or working. Let your body be a reminder of presence.
This is the beginning of our journey. Over the next seven days, we will prepare the body step by step, so that it becomes a supportive vessel for meditation. Stay with me, and together we will build strength, flexibility, and awareness.
And remember, on 22nd December, World Meditation Day, we will celebrate this journey in community. Visit bit.ly/WorldMeditation22Dec, Art of Living, and Prasanna Chitta Yoga to join the celebration. Let’s walk this path together, for peace within and peace in the world.”

G'day everyone, it's Sunil here – as we approach the final week of Movember, I'm reflecting on more than just growing facial hair. I want to take meaningful action for the men who care for everyone else but often neglect themselves.

In Australia, six men take their own lives every day, totalling over 2,200 brothers, fathers, and mates lost each year. This remains the leading cause of death for men aged 15–44.

I'm referring to the legends we rely on:
- Male nurses enduring brutal shifts
- Teachers dedicated to our children's futures
- Police and first responders carrying unimaginable trauma
- FIFO workers facing isolation and immense pressure

These men experience alarmingly high rates of psychological distress, burnout, PTSD, and suicidal thoughts—often double or triple the national average. Trained to be strong, they frequently suffer in silence.

True strength lies in self-care, enabling them to continue supporting others. That's why I'm currently offering the https://www.artofliving.org/au-en/providing proven yoga, meditation, and breathwork programs tailored for high-stress and shift-work teams—hospitals, police stations, schools, mine sites, construction, and more.

Our practical, no-fluff sessions (available live, online, or recorded) are designed to reduce stress quickly, improve sleep, and build resilience.

If you're involved in nursing, teaching, policing, FIFO, emergency services, or any caring role—or if you manage these teams—this is for you. Visit https://prasannachittayoga.com/corporate-wellness to book a free trial session or workshop before the year ends.

Let's prioritise the well-being of the men who hold this country together. This Movember, let's save some lives. Thank you for your support.

Movember Week 2: Trainer Wellbeing Matters
Last week I shared my moustache progress and raised the call for greater attention to vocational education trainers’ wellbeing. This week, I want to focus on mental health strategies we can all use—because the new RTO2025 standards still don’t give trainers the support they deserve.
🧘 Practical Techniques for Trainers
Breathing practices (Pranayama, Sudarshan Kriya™) to calm stress and sharpen focus
Micro-meditations between classes for quick resets
Gentle yoga stretches to release tension from long hours of teaching
Peer conversations (Movember-style) to reduce isolation and share solutions
Gratitude journaling to reframe daily challenges
🌍 Why This Matters
Trainers carry the weight of compliance, student support, and constant change. Without wellbeing strategies, burnout is inevitable. Movember reminds us that mental health is non-negotiable—and this applies to trainers too.

Let’s use Movember not just to grow moustaches, but to grow conversations about trainer wellbeing. When trainers thrive, students thrive.

Screenshot Hello, readers! It's November 8, 2025, and we're officially a week into Movember—a movement that's close to my heart as we continue to shine a spotlight on men's health issues like mental health, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and su***de prevention. If you caught my previous post on Men's Health Day (November 1), you'll know I kicked things off by committing to grow my moustache as a symbol of solidarity and advocacy, particularly for the often-overlooked well-being of trainers and teachers in Vocational Education and Training (VET)....
