This National Reconciliation Week we are reflecting on how we can be 'All In' across our locations - understanding that this looks different for each of our communities across regional and metropolitan WA.

Reconciliation is at the heart of what we do, shaping the way we work and the relationships we build. We're guided by the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and Elders we're proud to work alongside, and we remain committed to showing up and walking this path together.

Today, on May 8, we encourage you to check in with a mate and have a real, honest conversation about mental health.

M8D8 is all about talking things through with your mates before problems get too big to cope with.

Which M8 will you reach out to and check in on today?

At Youth Focus, we have a Staff Reward and Recognition Program which is about acknowledging our teams’ work, expressing gratitude, and providing opportunities for connection.

Our Metro counselling team recently chose to use their Reward and Recognition opportunity to give back to the community, coming together as a team to create practical and comforting packs to donate to the Mothers and Toddlers Group at Parkerville Children and Youth Care

Not only was the day a lot of fun, involving teamwork and a friendly competition to create the best pack, but according to the team, the best part of was helping others who need it, and supporting another incredible service provider who supports our community.

Celebrating M8D8 2026!

M8D8 celebrates mateship, and encourages young men to have real, honest conversations about mental health. A reminder that they don't need to have the answers, but they can be there for your mates and encourage them to seek support.

Follow on Instagram to keep up to date with the videos of young men sharing their perspective on why conversations with mates are so important.

"Last year I couldn’t run because of a broken ankle, so I cheered on my cousin and friends from the finish line. I felt the buzz, the pride, and the sense of togetherness. You never know when the opportunity to run might be taken away, and I want to embrace it with a community of like-minded people, while also running for Youth Focus to help ensure young people facing mental health challenges feel that same sense of support, connection and hope."

We know just how much young people bring to our communities, and Youth Week is the time to celebrate that!

Across WA, our teams worked alongside young people to create, host and attend events that represent the young people in their communities.

From hosting an open mic night in Midland and a Youth Fest in Northam, and attending many other events across WA, Youth Week is always a fun week connecting with young people and their communities.

The Hawaiian Ride for Youth 2026 has raised an incredible $2,113,250 in support of Youth Focus and young Western Australians!

While the end of this year’s Ride looked a little different, we extend our sincere thanks and congratulations to our riders, support crew, sponsors - including our naming rights partner, Hawaiian - supporters, and everyone who played a part in making the 24th annual Ride such a success.

Together, we are making a meaningful difference and helping young Western Australians thrive 💙❤

The Inland Peloton had a sneak peak at the soon-to-be headspace Manjimup (Youth Focus Manjimup) as they passed through town yesterday.

The Hawaiian Ride for Youth is just one of the threads that connects us to the Warren Blackwood community, with the peloton passing through each year. It was great to see our Manjimup team meet the riders and Support Crew after their 200km day, and join them on their visit to Manjimup Senior High School where they talked with students and staff about mental health.

There was as extra special welcome for Ben Rose, Shire of Manjimup CEO, and Jason Giadresco, Shire of Manjimup Director of Development Services, who are tackling their first ride!

Thank you Bevan Eatts MLA for joining us for the afternoon and being so supportive of our work in the Warren Blackwood Region.
