Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women, but early detection can save lives. Regular checks and awareness of changes in your body are key.
π Did you know?
1 in 7 women in Australia will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
Around 20,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
With early detection and treatment, the 5-year survival rate is now over 90%.
β
Early Detection Tips:
Perform regular self-examinations and look for changes in breast size, shape, or skin texture.
Report any lumps, swelling, or unusual pain to your doctor.
Attend recommended breast screening (mammograms are available for women 40+).
