Get to know Emily!
Dr Emily graduated from Murdoch University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Bachelors of Clinical Chiropractic. Emily has been working part time in the Wheatbelt town of Northam since February 2023. In June of 2023 she decided to learn Auslan (Australian sign language) at TAFE and has completed her Certificate III In Auslan.
During her studies she discovered her passion for helping people and the role that she could play by providing Chiropractic care with both acute and chronic pain for muscle skeletal conditions, not just spinal related pain.
In 2024 after meeting a mum with Deaf children Emily realised there was a lack of Chiropractors in Perth who could fluently sign. She decided to attend TAFE to learn and develop her Auslan skills with the aim of being inclusive to Auslan users.
Emily has completed extra learning in blocking, pregnancy treatment, paediatric management, jaw management, dry needling, taping and gentle adjusting techniques. With a focus on evidence-based treatments Emily uses a mix of chiropractic adjustments coupled with soft tissue, dry needling and rehabilitation advise. She endeavours to help individuals improve their quality of life.
Emily spends her free time crafting such as painting, crochet, embroidery and making earrings! She also spend lots of time time with family, friends and the gym.
