I just qualified in our Wild Winter Baby Nurture Rings course and l'd like to share from my self reflective answers!
The intention has been resting within me for some time—quietly growing roots. This course has stayed with me, waiting for the right season to bloom in my life, and I now feel ready to begin that journey.
What I loved most about the course was the invitation to pause, reflect, and connect—both with ourselves and with others. It encouraged a sacred return to ritual, community, and the nurturing wisdom of nature. The idea of slowing down to honour the winter season really resonated with me.
My challenge has been translating these ideas into my environment here in Australia. Our winters are mild, our landscapes different, and I don’t have access to forests or foraging opportunities. I’ve found it difficult to create nature altars with the same kind of richness as those described in the course. But I’ve also come to understand that nurturing circles don’t have to look the same everywhere—they just have to feel intentional, rooted, and real.
As I prepare to return to my home village of Castleconnell in County Limerick, Ireland, I feel called to create something special there. Castleconnell is nestled by the River Shannon, and there’s a beautiful nature walkway behind the Castle Oaks Hotel with ancient trees, a little fairy garden, and a footbridge connecting Castleconnell to Clonlara. The light filtering through the trees, the flow of the river—it’s a place filled with quiet magic. It feels like the perfect space to begin.
When I return, I plan to create a circle with my two sisters and a dear friend. It will be small, simple, and deeply meaningful—a way to root the teachings of this course into my own natural environment and rhythm. I see this as the beginning of my own seed pod: a small, sacred cluster of women holding and nurturing each other. Just as the course taught us, we can plant seeds of connection, reflection, and love—and grow together.
This experience has reminded me that no matter the season, the essence of the work is always about holding space, creating safety, and honouring the interconnectedness of all things 💕💕
