Last Immunotherapy Done & Dusted!
After 12 long months of treatment, I’ve finally completed my last immunotherapy session. I’m excited to not live life 3 weeks at a time. No more constant exhaustion and nausea , no more hair falling out when I brush it, no more annoying rashes(well eventually I hope ) and definitely no more countless blood tests or failed cannulas.
I’m so grateful for clear scans and putting it out to the universe that they stay that way with each new scan every 3 months moving forward and I can continue to say those words “no evidence of disease “
To the friends and family who showed up when I needed them most, you are my lifeline and I’ll never forget your support. It’s funny how life reveals who your true friends are ,those I thought were close sadly proved otherwise, but those I didn’t realise were there for me became my rocks . 💕
My biggest thanks and endless love go to my husband. He has been my unwavering rock, my best friend, and the love of my life. I couldn’t have made it through without you by my side. ❤️
Moving forward, it’s a mix of emotions. I feel relief, hope, and a bit of uncertainty, but most of all I’m excited to start celebrating life again as we step into 2025 with fresh perspectives and my health.
I have always been a glass half full kind of girl-but cancer has taught me not yo take things for granted, to cherish every single moment and day, and to prioritise the things and people that matter most. It’s been one hell of a journey, but I’m stronger for it.

As a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience, I’ve held senior executive positions managing large teams, and while stressful, I thrived on the challenges. Some time ago now I finally took the leap to move into aesthetics full time open my own training academy and clinic here in Australia as well as working for an amazing group of clinics as a Clinical Nurse Manager  and it’s been one of the best decisions of my career.
One of the best pieces of advice I received early in my nursing career was to seize every opportunity, even if you’re not sure you can do it. That’s how we grow—by stepping out of our comfort zones.
I often share this advice with new Aesthetic nurses. Over the years, I’ve seen so many incredible success stories using this advice, and one that stands out is a nurse I trained while I was in the UK. Just a quick update for you all !Starting immediately , you will notice some changes to my Instagram and other on line platforms. But don’t worry, I’m still here and as committed as ever to you all just things might look a bit different round here .

As a Registered Nurse, I’m dedicated to following all the necessary regulations and guidelines, and recently, there have been some updates from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) regarding advertising regulations.

So, what does this mean for us? We’ll be making some adjustments:

❌ No more terms like “wrinkle relaxers,” “lip filler,” or “dermal filler”
❌ Avoiding specific drug names (which has always been the case)
❌ Bye-bye before and after pics of aesthetics treatments
❌ We won’t be advertising prices
Moving forward we will only be able to provide you with prices or show portfolios of our work during a consultation , which will remain as a complementary service .
While this might mean some changes to the content you see from us, please know that we are still offering the same high standards of treatment and affordable pricing .

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quiet around social media town the last 6 months or so . Here’s why-
As most of you know I had surgery on my foot that turned out to be more than I expected.
For those following along at home, last August, a “sore” on my foot led to a melanoma diagnosis. I felt like the bottom of my world had fallen out .
September brought surgery, a skin graft, and lymph node removal. Four weeks of bedrest followed and being told that the Melanoma had spread, leading to December’s start of a 12 month journey of immunotherapy every 3 weeks.
Its been a long road so far , tough and theres been lots of tears but I have had the best support from my amazing husband , family and friends to keep me positive and positivity is whats going to get us all through this . I cant change my diagnosis so I’m going to focus on what I can change and thats my future!
As a nurse and a cosmetic injector I am in the very fortunate position of people trusting me with their face and those of you that come to me know I have always reminded you to wear sunscreen .This wont change but the difference is I will be practicing what I preach now and be sun safe too !
Fast forward to Feb , my wound has finally healed and I took my first full weight bearing steps after being non/partial weight bearing for what felt like forever and am slowly getting used to walking normally again . I cant walk far at the moment because its still painful but to drive me and to celebrate I’m hoping to participate in the March for Melanoma walk at the end of March. I may not be able to walk the whole 5 km by then but will give a bloody good try! Your support would mean the world to me , as well as raising valuable funds for melanoma research and vital support for melanoma patients.
