Why do therapy? Here's one good reason but there are many. All humans are faced with adversity in their lives at some time as life can be very difficult. Therapy aims to stop these experiences from causing negative schemas, which are a pattern of behaviours, thoughts and beliefs that impact on us negatively. As humans we can tend to internalise the negative experiences, particularly when there are no answers to it, and this internalisation results in lower self worth and self confidence. Or we can tend to generalise the experience and develop a general sense of mistrust in others or even in the world and this will impact on our relationships and socialisation.

Therapy, addresses these human patterns and stops the damage. Neurological pathways begin to change when we share in a safe environment, feel valued , learn new skills and wisdom.

The way you feel and who you are, is important .

It is with delight that I can share that The Psych Centre has expanded and we now have fourteen therapists on board offering mental health support . Enabling us to care for our community more . All information is available on our website.

We are also doing ADHD assessments and learning issues assessments to help decrease the waiting times for those families and individuals wanting assessments.

Following with our philosophy, to provide affordable full care of our clients needs , our fees remain discounted so that psychology is accessible to many . Assessments can be paid off, over a period of time in order to not tax a families income or an individuals income too much at once and then add financial stress to the situation.
