🎗️ June 26 – Rare Cancer Awareness Day 🎗️

Today we pause to shine a light on the Australians living with rare cancers, a group of diagnoses that, while individually uncommon, make up more than 1 in 5 cancer cases.

What makes these cancers “rare” is not just how infrequently they’re seen, but how difficult they can be to diagnose, treat, and research. Often, people facing rare cancers are left with limited treatment options and fewer support resources.

At View Health chemo@home, we know that rare doesn’t mean less important. Our team supports patients living with all kinds of cancer, including those with rare and complex conditions, by delivering safe, hospital-level treatment in the comfort of their own homes.

We see you. We support you. And we’re proud to be part of your care.

To our patients, their families, and the healthcare professionals working to improve outcomes for rare cancer patients every day, thank you.

💛 You are not forgotten. You are not alone.

💡 Not sure if your condition qualifies for at-home care? You might be surprised.

At View Health chemo@home, we provide home-based infusions for a wide range of chronic illnesses—not just cancer. That includes conditions like:

✅ Crohn’s disease
✅ Multiple sclerosis
✅ Rheumatoid arthritis
✅ Migraines
✅ Motor neurone disease (MND)
✅ Lupus
… and more.

If your treatment involves regular infusions into the vein, there's a good chance it can be delivered by our experienced nurses in the comfort of your own home, no waiting rooms, no long drives, no stress.

✨ Ask your specialist if at-home care might be right for you, or check out the full list of conditions we support on our website www.chemoathome.com.au

Because staying on top of your health shouldn’t mean turning your life upside down.

💙 Support for MND, Delivered at Home

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is relentless, but accessing treatment doesn’t have to be.

At View Health chemo@home, we now offer at-home infusions for eligible patients living with MND. That means you can receive your treatment in the comfort and privacy of home, with one of our experienced nurses by your side, no hospital trips required.

We know that living with MND takes strength. Our job is to make treatment just a little bit easier.

If you're a patient or carer, talk to your neurologist about whether home-based infusions might be right for you. And if you're a clinician wanting more information about how we can support your patients, please get in touch.

Because quality care should meet people where they are. 💙

View Health - chemo at home has pioneered the world’s first at-home infusion program for monoclonal antibodies targeting amyloid-beta plaques in Alzheimer’s disease, offering patients treatment in the comfort of their homes and reducing strain on healthcare facilities. Early results of this pilot program show improved patient and caregiver satisfaction, a reduced healthcare burden, and favourable safety outcomes.

This milestone aligns with the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s approval of donanemab, a new amyloid-targeting therapy for early-stage Alzheimer’s. Though not yet subsidised under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), its approval marks progress in disease-modifying treatments.

Alzheimer’s affects 421,000 Australians, with cases expected to nearly double by 2054. The condition places immense strain on families and caregivers, making accessible treatment crucial. Together, these advancements represent a transformative shift in Alzheimer’s care—bringing hope and improving quality of life for patients and their loved ones.

Tune in for expert insights! 📻 Julie Adams, View Health - chemo@home's Director, will discuss the latest in Alzheimer's treatments this Saturday at 11:30 AM on Canberra's 2CC and Monday on Sydney's 2SM. Don't miss it!

🌧️🏥 When the road is blocked, care finds a way. 🚒💙
Recently, one of our patients found themselves isolated by rising floodwaters, cut off from the outside world and in the middle of their chemotherapy journey. But thanks to the extraordinary teamwork between View Health chemo@home and the incredible State Emergency Service (SES), help arrived right on time.
With the flood threatening to delay vital treatment, the NSW SES stepped in without hesitation, navigating dangerous conditions to get our chemo@home nurse through. It wasn’t just a rescue, it was a lifeline.
💪 This moment reminded us that healthcare isn’t just about medicine, it’s about compassion, commitment, and community. At View Health chemo@home, we believe every patient deserves access to treatment, no matter the challenges. And with the support of heroes like the SES, we make it happen.
To the SES, thank you for helping us deliver more than just care. You helped deliver hope. 💛
