An incredible snippet from recent post on the recent Netflix documentary and the Manosphere.

There’s is always so much talk of “toxic masculinity” and what “not to do” as a man - but rarely acknowledging the good and positives of Men.

Men have so much value to give to the world.
Men have so much value, full stop.

The discussion with young men and old around the potential or developed masculinity is (I believe) crucial.

You can be King 👑
- or you could be a Tyrant/ Weakling

You could be a Warrior 🔥⚔️
- or you could be a Sadist / Ma*****st

You could be a Magician ✨ (wise/ insightful for good)
- or you could be a Manipulator/ Denier of reality

You could be a Lover ❤️‍🩹 (connected vitality)
- or you could be an Addict / Impotent

All of these “parts” are in each Man - it just depends which is in the drivers seat and calling the shoots.

Does talking about it, make it less impactful?

Depends on who’s listening, and the skill level of the person sharing, and the person listening.

Many Men weren’t taught how to express emotions, well actually the were taught something…

It wasn’t safe. And it didn’t make a difference

So the amazing sentiment of “it ain’t weak to speak” is a good step in the right direction.

Our next step as men is saying to Men…

I’m sorry you never felt safe, I’m sorry you never felt heard.

I really want to try change that, would that be okay with you?
