We’re excited to welcome Dr Setu Modi to ADSA GP Family & Workers Clinic, starting tomorrow!

Dr Modi brings extensive experience across emergency medicine and general practice, with special interests in chronic disease management (especially diabetes), musculoskeletal injuries, wound care, acute/minor injuries and non-pharmacological weight management.

He’s also deeply involved in medical education and is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati.

We’re thrilled to have him on board, and he looks forward to caring for our community.

Where: ADSA GP and Family Workers Clinic | General Practice & Family Health

We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly team and cover holiday leave in early January. If you're passionate about patient care and thrive in a collaborative environment, this short-term opportunity could be perfect for you!

This opportunity, ideal for a motivated nurse who thrives in a collaborative, compassionate environment, and provides exceptional patient care through Care Plans and Health Assessments.

Essential Criteria:
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in general practice.
• Ability to work autonomously with strong time management and organizational skills
• Immunisation certificate (or in progress)
• Experience in wound management
• Current AHPRA registration as RN
• Current Western Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Current criminal record screening.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Recent primary healthcare experience.
• Continuing professional
• Experience with Care Plans and Health Assessments
• Strong understanding of worker’s health
• Essential • AHPRA registration as a registered nurse. development.
• Knowledge of Best Practice Software

Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting GPs with minor procedures
• Wound management and dressings
• Administering vaccinations and immunisations
• Conducting ECGs and spirometry tests
• Managing the treatment room efficiently
• Triage of patients
• Recalls and immunisation record-keeping
• Performing Care Plans and Health Assessments
• General administrative duties as required

❤️ Red Nose Day started as Australia’s first national fundraising day for SIDS research — and what a start it was! Over $1.3 million raised and 1 million red noses sold in the very first year.

The message? Get silly for a serious cause. 🎈 By having fun and wearing a red nose, Aussies have helped save over 12,000 little lives through life-saving research and safe sleep education.

Today, Red Nose Day continues to fund vital research into SIDS and stillbirth, and provides free support for grieving families across the country. Together, we’re making a real difference.

National Stroke Week 2025
Recognise the signs — act quickly, save a life
Monday 4 – Sunday 10 August 2025

National Stroke Week is a time to raise awareness about stroke and how to respond. Acting fast can make all the difference when someone is having a stroke.

One of the simplest tools to recognise a stroke is the F.A.S.T. method. It highlights the most common signs to look out for:

Face – Is one side of their face drooping?

Arms – Can they raise both arms without difficulty?

Speech – Is their speech unclear or confused?

Time – Every second counts. Call 000 immediately if you notice any of these signs.

Strokes are serious medical emergencies. Quick recognition and action can help save a life and reduce long-term damage.
