We’ve been receiving wonderful feedback from patients seeing Dr Yoshi Inoue for integrative acupuncture consultations at the clinic.

Appointments are Medicare rebateable, with treatment plans tailored to the individual and their underlying health concerns.

Patients have particularly been seeking support for:

• Chronic pain
• Chronic fatigue
• Low mood and anxiety
• Stress-related symptoms and high cortisol levels
• Perimenopause and menopause symptoms

Acupuncture can be a valuable adjunctive therapy - especially for patients who cannot take hormone replacement therapy, or for those who feel HRT alone has not adequately controlled their symptoms.

Many patients are looking for a more holistic approach to symptom management, nervous system regulation, sleep quality, pain reduction and overall wellbeing.

If you’ve been feeling “not quite yourself,” it may be worth exploring an evidence-informed integrative approach.

Rosacea is more than just “sensitive skin” or redness.
It is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that benefits from an accurate diagnosis and evidence-based treatment planning.

This recent feature in Medicine Today (April 2026 edition) highlights vascular laser therapy as one of the strongly supported treatment options in rosacea management - particularly for persistent redness, visible blood vessels, flushing and inflammatory change.

At the clinic, we use advanced laser platforms to target the vascular component of rosacea while also assessing contributing factors such as skin barrier dysfunction, inflammation, UV damage and lifestyle triggers.

Not all redness is rosacea - and not all rosacea is the same.
A proper skin assessment matters.

Dr Govindappa provides comprehensive skin assessment and tailored treatment planning to help patients manage rosacea with evidence-based therapies, including laser treatments available in clinic.

Because the right diagnosis guides the right treatment.

📍Bookings available for rosacea assessment and laser consultation.

Creatine isn’t just a supplement- it’s a naturally occurring compound found in real food.

🥩 Natural sources of creatine
Primarily found in animal proteins:
• Red meat (beef, lamb)
• Fish (especially salmon, herring, sardines)

But here’s the catch- diet alone gives you ~1–2g/day at best. For performance, muscle, and cognitive benefits, most evidence-based protocols sit closer to 3–20g/day.

⚡ How to bring it into your diet
You’ve got two options:

1. Food-first approach: Regular intake of quality animal protein
2. Targeted supplementation: Creatine monohydrate- simple, studied, effective

For most people aiming for muscle, bone density, and longevity benefits → supplementation is the practical move.

💡 What about bloating and fluid retention?
This is where people get it wrong.

Creatine pulls water into muscle cells (intracellular), not under the skin. That’s a performance advantage-not “bloating.”

To minimise issues in practice:
• Skip loading phases (no need for 20g/day to start)
• Start low: 2-3g daily and build up slowly
• Stay well hydrated
• Take it consistently (not sporadically)
• Pair with resistance training → directs uptake into muscle

If someone feels “puffy,” it’s usually dose, sodium balance, or GI sensitivity-not the creatine itself.

🧠 Bottom line
Creatine is one of the most evidence-backed tools for:
• Lean muscle
• Strength
• Bone support
• Cognitive performance

And when used correctly-it doesn’t make you bulky. It makes you better.

A strong sense of purpose isn’t just philosophical - it’s measurable biology.

Across multiple longevity studies, people who report a clear sense of purpose live longer, have lower rates of cardiovascular disease, better cognitive resilience, and even reduced all-cause mortality. Purpose influences behaviour, stress response, inflammation, and how consistently we invest in our own health.

But here’s the reality: most people don’t “find” purpose in a single moment. It’s constructed.

If you’re trying to define yours, start here:

• What activities make you lose track of time?
• Where do your skills intersect with helping others?
• What problems genuinely frustrate you enough to want to solve?
• What would you still do even if no one paid you for it?
• What kind of impact do you want to have in 10–20 years?

Purpose doesn’t have to be grand. It just has to be personally meaningful and consistently lived.

For some, it’s raising a family well.
For others, it’s building a business, contributing to community, or advancing a field.

The key is alignment - when your daily actions reflect what actually matters to you.

Longevity isn’t just about supplements, exercise, or biomarkers.
It’s also about having a reason to get up in the morning - repeatedly.

PRP isn’t just about using it - it’s about how much you’re actually delivering.

This is where most treatments fall short.

In regenerative medicine, dose is everything. As we age, platelet function and tissue responsiveness decline - so under-dosed PRP simply won’t drive the same repair, collagen stimulation, or hair regrowth.

That’s exactly why we use the EmCyte system in clinic.

👉 It delivers high-dose PRP - up to ~10 billion platelets per treatment
👉 Designed for true therapeutic signalling, not just “cosmetic PRP”
👉 Allows us to tailor leukocyte profile and optimise outcomes

Because the difference is simple:

Low-dose PRP → subtle, inconsistent results
High-dose PRP → stronger, more reliable regeneration

Whether we’re treating:
• Skin quality and collagen
• Hair thinning
• Post-laser recovery
• Musculoskeletal repair

We’re not guessing - we’re dosing with intent.

PRP works.
But only when it’s done correctly.

Your morning coffee just got amped!

When you pair caffeine with a targeted brain health formula from Vitality Health, you’re not just chasing energy-you’re engineering focus, calm, and cognitive longevity.

This blend matters:

• Citrus bioflavonoids → antioxidant support for vascular and neuronal health
• Theobromine → a gentler methylxanthine that smooths stimulation, supporting sustained energy without the jitter profile of caffeine alone
• German chamomile → modulates the stress response, taking the edge off while preserving clarity

Combined with caffeine’s adenosine blockade, this creates a more stable neurochemical environment:
→ alert, but not wired
→ focused, but not anxious
→ productive, without the crash

It’s a small daily stack done consistently, to support brain performance and longevity.

This is what “easy protein” actually looks like.

I keep a bag of Hanabi mukimame (shelled edamame) in the freezer at all times-no prep, no excuses.

Microwave. Season. Done.

For those trying to consistently hit protein targets (1.6–2g/kg), these small additions matter more than perfection.

Approx macros per 1 cup (cooked):
✔️ ~155 kcal
✔️ ~17g protein
✔️ ~13g carbs
✔️ ~8g fat
✔️ ~8g fibre

High satiety, plant-based protein, and incredibly practical for busy days.

Add it to bowls, salads, or just eat it straight with salt and chilli.

Consistency > complexity.

Protein isn’t just for athletes - it’s foundational for healthy ageing, lean muscle, and metabolic resilience.

A simple target: 1.6–2.0 g of protein per kg body weight per day.

This bowl is one of my easy “protein stacking” strategies to give you an additional 40g:
• High-protein yoghurt
• Added Vanilla protein powder
• Collagen Clinical
• Berries for antioxidants and fibre

It’s quick, practical, and turns dessert into something that actively supports muscle maintenance, skin integrity, and recovery- especially important post-menopause.

Small, consistent upgrades like this make hitting daily protein targets achievable without overcomplicating your nutrition.

Let’s talk about the hype: XERF, Skin biostimulators such as Rejuran.

Nothing delivers the level of structural change we see with advanced doctor-led laser platforms.

XERF is essentially radiofrequency. It heats tissue to stimulate collagen, but the effect is:
– Non-ablative
– Limited in depth precision
– Mild to moderate tightening at best

Rejuran, on the other hand, is a polynucleotide (salmon DNA) injectable. It works by improving skin quality:
– Enhances repair
– Improves hydration and elasticity
– Supports collagen production

But it does NOT resurface, remodel, or significantly tighten tissue. No where near the results from EmCyte PRP.

So what’s the difference?

Laser platforms like LongPulse, ProDeep and Dual Mode don’t just “stimulate” - they create controlled dermal injury:
✔️ True collagen remodelling
✔️ Depth-specific treatment
✔️ Ablation + coagulation (when needed)
✔️ Treatment of subclinical sun damage

That’s why results are visibly superior.

In simple terms:
Rejuran improves the quality of your skin but PRP is superior
XERF lightly stimulates it.
Laser actually rebuilds it.

Know what you’re investing in.
