💻 Wearing my IT Department Hat

If I’m honest, this is probably my least favourite hat to wear. I would even take the Maintenance Hat over this one.

There are so many times when I have absolutely no idea how to fix the IT issues that pop up, and yet somehow, I manage to figure it out. Whether it’s printers, WiFi, emails or software updates, something always seems to need a little attention.

Even though it’s not the most exciting role, it’s a vital one. Our practice relies so heavily on technology to keep things running smoothly, from client records to bookings and communications.

So while it may not be my favourite hat, it’s the one that keeps everything else working just as it should.

💻 Wearing my Marketing and Website Manager Hat

One of the quieter roles I hold is my Marketing and Website Manager Hat. It’s a role that happens mostly behind the scenes but makes a big difference to how we connect with our community.

I manage all of our website programming, and with the help of Tekmatix, I also create and run our marketing automations. That includes everything from email workflows to social media scheduling.

It’s a creative and strategic space that allows me to share who we are, what we believe in, and how we work. Every page, post and email is designed to reflect our values of connection, growth, support and family.

Good marketing isn’t about selling. It’s about storytelling, helping people feel confident that they’ve found a team who truly understands and cares.

☎️ Wearing my Receptionist Hat

Every now and then, when Tara isn’t at her desk and the doorbell rings, I get to pop on my Receptionist Hat and greet our clients myself.

It’s one of those small moments that always makes me smile. I love seeing the familiar faces, the big grins from kids as they walk in, and the quiet “hellos” from parents who know this space is a safe one for their family.

Even though it’s not my main role, I genuinely enjoy those quick chats at the door, the chance to welcome people into the space we have created with care, warmth and intention.

Because at Perth Hills Allied Health, every greeting matters. It sets the tone for what comes next: connection, support and a sense of belonging.

🌿 Wearing my Personal Cheerleader Hat

Today I’m wearing my Personal Cheerleader Hat, the one that reminds me to rest, recharge and step away for a while.

I’m taking a little holiday and giving myself the gift of a tech detox too. No emails, no messages, no planning. Just space to breathe, to be present with my family, and to fill my own cup.

It’s easy to forget that rest isn’t separate from the work we do. It’s what makes the work possible. Taking time out helps me return refreshed, creative and grounded, ready to give my best to the children, families and therapists I support.

So for now, my focus is on sunshine, slow mornings and connection, not checklists.

See you soon, rested and ready.
