🎉 Last Day of Term – Saturday 6th December! 🎉

As we wrap up our final sessions for the year, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing families for your support throughout the term. Watching your children learn, grow, and shine has been an absolute joy for our team 💛

We wish each of you a safe, restful and joy-filled holiday period. 🌟✨Enjoy the break, make some wonderful memories, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year! ✨ May the Fine Motor Force Be With You! ✨

In OT this week, we blasted off into a Star Wars themed galaxy of fine motor fun! 🚀💫 Here are just a few activities we covered this week

🛠️ Fine Motor Strength:
Our young Padawans powered up their hand muscles using Mr. Potato Head, because even heroes need strong fingers to build their gear!

🔩 Dexterity & Problem-Solving:
Students helped “repair” R2-D2 using nuts and bolts, practicing bilateral coordination and precision like true Droid Technicians. 🤖🔧

👀 Visual Scanning:
We ended our mission by scanning the galaxy for hidden Star Wars characters, boosting attention, tracking, and visual discrimination. 🌌👁️

These activities make therapy fun, functional, and totally out of this world! ✨

🚀 BREAKING NEWS FROM GYMWORKS OT! 👽💚

One of our amazing Occupational Therapists has been abducted by our very own friendly alien visitor, but don’t worry, they’re in safe (and slightly slimy) hands!

Our OT has been busy floating around the galaxy with Tegan, helping her complete some out-of-this -world core-building activities right here in our Gym. 🌌💪✨

Turns out, flying through space, gravity jumps and cosmic balance games are the perfect way to build strength... who knew?!

Keep an eye out, they might beam back down soon with some brand-new intergalactic exercises for everyone! 👾💫

We’re excited to announce that enrolment dates will be released on Thursday, 27th November via our website 💻📅

Our Summer Holiday Program will run from Monday 19th January to Friday 23rd January, with two sessions daily — morning & afternoon! 🕘🌅

💚MEET THE TEAM💚

Christy loves being an OT because of the relationships she get to build along the way 🤝💬 She values getting to know people, their stories, and what matters to them 💭💫 Seeing people's confidence grow and watching them achieve their goals is something she find very rewarding 🌈👏

Her favourite activity in our program is the monkey bars! 💪🙌 She love seeing how determined and resilient the kids are when working on this skill 💥 Watching them finally make it across and seeing how proud they are of themselves is amazing 🤩✨ It’s also an activity that can be broken down into smaller, achievable steps 🧩➡️✅ which really helps to build children’s confidence as they work towards their goal 🌟

In her spare time she'll be catching up with friends for a walk or coffee ☕🚶‍♀️, out running 🏃‍♀️, or enjoying the sun 🌞! She loves reading a good book too 📚💖

👽💛 Highway Heroes Feelings Check-In! 💛👽

In our Highway Heroes sessions this term, we’re learning all about checking in with our feelings — and we have a special visitor helping us out! 🪐

Each session, the children get to “feed the alien” with feelings — happy, sad, worried, excited — helping them recognise and check-in with emotions in a fun, engaging way. 🌈✨

Our little alien friend still needs a name, and we’d love your help! 🤔Drop your ideas below — what should we call our feelings alien? 💭👽

Meet the team👋

Introducing you to one of our superstar OT's - Leilani or as we all know her as, Lani🌟

Lani's favourite part about being an OT is being able to help people everyday (and never sitting at a desk). Specifically, working as a paediatric OT means she can spend her days playing and finding ways to make therapy fun for her kids!

Her favourite thing about Gymworks is that it is always a surprise seeing what the gym looks like each week - that is very exciting for both the kids and the therapists. Lani's favourite activity is definitely the flying fox!

When not at Gymworks you will find Lani walking her dog, Teddy, playing netball, reading books or out at her favourite breakfast spots.
