This is what informed consent looks like.

The doctor would hand you the insert from the medication or vaccine they are recommending.

They would say something like "Here's a list of possible risks. By the way this product has never been evaluated for carcinogenic potential, mutagenic potential or impairment of fertility. Its also never been tested in conjunction with other medicines or vaccines to see if there's an issue there. Do you still want it?"

Instead you get, "It's safe and effective and don't ask questions."

I remember when I was sick with Crohn's and reflux that my GP had me taking Lanzaprazole. I'd been on it for several years and asked if that was OK.

He told me he took it himself, it was perfectly safe and he could eat what he wanted now!

The reccomendation now is they should be used for a couple of months maximum...

'Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) should only be used for a couple of months, maximum, before gradually tapering off to prevent acid rebound. Long-term use has been associated with an increased risk of osteoporosis-related fractures of the hip and spine, pneumonia, kidney disease, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea, and vitamin B12, magnesium, or iron deficiency.
PPI side effects may include a headache, constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, or nausea. PPIs can also interact with some other drugs, such as clopidogrel (Plavix), or affect the absorption of certain drugs, such as iron salts, ketoconazole, and vitamin B12.'

So when I was taking this there was every likelihood it would cause the diarrhea from Crohns to be worse!

Trust your body.

There really is no such thing as a free lunch.

Everything has a price.

Using a drug for weight loss off label will always have side effects.
But this is awful and much worse even than the sarcopenia many people accept with this drug.

Everyone wants a magic pill.

There isn't one.

🚨 Ozempic is facing over 1,800 lawsuits in the U.S., with potential damages exceeding $2 billion.

Patients claim the drug caused severe side effects like stomach paralysis (gastroparesis), vision loss (NAION), intestinal blockages, gallbladder issues, pancreatitis, and kidney damage.

Many allege Novo Nordisk failed to adequately warn about these risks, especially for off-label weight loss use.

The lawsuits are consolidated in Pennsylvania’s multidistrict litigation, currently in the discovery phase, with bellwether trials upcoming.

This was me 12 years ago.

Add to this way too much alcohol.

A stressful job that ended with a diagnosis of PTSD from 32 years of dealing with death, violence and fear.

Have a look at yourself because this isn't a rehearsal.

This is it.

And the timer is slowly running out.

I always feel sorry for the people who work in these factory like nail bars.
I wonder how many meet early deaths or become really ill, surrounded by these nasty chemicals all day under harsh blue light.

Just don't.

It's really simple when you break it all down.

You think you suck at Muay Thai?

Only 3% of the world population trains a martial art, let alone Muay Thai.

If you ever step into the ring, even an interclub sparring competition, you are in the top 3% of that 3%.

If you regularly spar chances are you could handle yourself against 90% of people.

Training just 3 hours a week puts you way above most people in terms of discipline.

Any more and you are massively exceeding most of the population.

If you find time to train before or after a long day at work you are well above average.

Maybe you're better than you think?

That moment when you've had a long day at work, it's been absolutely freezing in Perth and you'd like nothing more than to lounge about in the warm, have dinner and chill out.

But instead you grab your kit bag, get changed and drive to the gym for Muay Thai.

And you smile because you can.

Your legs work, your arms work and you are grateful.

Let's see what's in store tonight.

Yup.

We have but one life.

Putting up with mediocrity is painful and such a waste of life.

Start the new business, go to the dance class, learn a new language, learn to cook, learn a martial art, get fit, read the book, watch the movie.

The timer is running out.

Four Years Alcohol-Free 🥥🔥

Over four years since I gave up alcohol — and honestly, I’ve never felt sharper, stronger, or more grounded.

No beer belly, no foggy mornings, no wasted time or energy. Staying sober has been one of the most powerful decisions I’ve made for my health. It's helped me stay lean, train harder, sleep deeper, and live with clarity.

I don’t miss the hangovers, the bloat, or the false "relaxation" it promised. What I do enjoy is waking up every day knowing my body is working with me — not against me.

This is what Primal living means to me: clear mind, strong body, real food, deep sleep, and zero toxins — including the socially accepted ones.

I used to kid myself too.

I got myself healthy, off all the Crohn's meds, lost all the weight and was really careful about what I ate.

But I still drank. Sure, I hid behind it being organic Shiraz but it was bu****it.

I likened myself to a vintage car I restored, a 1966 model. I'd got new paint, restored the engine, new tyres and it was looking great. But every day I drive it through a muddy paddock.

That's what the booze does. Totally undoes all your hard work.

Stay sharp, stay primal 🔥
