It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Bethanie! 🎅

Our clients got crafty at today’s Santa Workshop, creating button ornaments, festive collages and a stunning Christmas wreath.

With guidance from one of our amazing volunteers, and a little help from our student elves from TAFE and Trinity College, the room was filled with laughter, creativity and holiday cheer.

Yanchep Carols: A Splendid Night at Splendid Park

Our Beachside Retirement Village residents and their families joined the community at Splendid Park for a magical evening of festive fun. From joyful sing-along carols to dazzling fireworks, the night was filled with music and Christmas cheer.

Nurse Practitioner Week at Bethanie

This Nurse Practitioner Week, we celebrate the incredible expertise and dedication of our Nurse Practitioner (NP) team at Bethanie. For over a decade, NPs have been an integral part of our care model, working across 14 Bethanie Aged Care Homes to provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment. They partner closely with GPs and nursing teams to ensure continuity of care for every resident. Thank you for positively changing the way Australians experience ageing – every day.

🎄 Christmas Cheer in Full Swing

The Activity Centre at Bethanie Fields Aged Care Home turned into a festive marketplace with five beautiful stalls featuring homemade crafts and gifts.

Our residents loved picking out special treasures for Christmas, and the buzz of laughter and conversation made the day truly magical. 🌟

Meet Sharon – Facility Manager at Bethanie Dalyellup

Starting her journey with Bethanie in 2004, Sharon has worn many hats – from Clinical Nurse Manager to Acting Facility Manager at Bethanie Fields, Regional Manager and a key contributor to major projects like Bert England Lodge, to her current position as Facility Manager at Bethanie Dalyellup.

Tea and a chat with a W***y Wagtail 🐦

One of our Home Care clients enjoys a regular cuppa in her garden with her Bethanie Home Care Support Worker. It’s a moment to chat, connect, and welcome a tiny feathered friend to the tea party.

Like clockwork, our client’s garden companion, W***y Wagtail, swoops in to say hello and snack on a few live mealworms. A peaceful ritual, and the kind of connection that makes everyone feel at home.

A Peaceful Day by the Water 🎣🌊

Our residents from Bethanie Fields went out to Collie Bridge for a day of fishing, accompanied by some of our Therapy team and Chaplains. While the fish weren’t biting (except for one cheeky blowfish), the laughter, stories and shared moments made it a catch of a day.

And yes – there was ice cream on the way home. 🍦

A Taste of Generosity: Leonie’s Legacy in Bunbury 🍽️

Leonie, one of our tenants at Bethanie Dalyellup Community Housing, has lived a life full of flavour and generosity.

She has run her own place, ‘Mangroves River Café’, led an award-winning catering business, and still found time to dream even bigger. After reading about long table luncheons held over east, Leonie asked, “Why not in Bunbury?” And just like that, the Chef’s Long Table Charity Lunch was born — with every ticket sale going to charity.

Now in its 26th year, the event continues to bring people together, showcase incredible chefs, and celebrate local produce, all thanks to Leonie’s vision and heart.

She’s a shining example of the inspiring individuals who make Bethanie so special. 💚

👩‍🍳 From mixing bowls to meaningful moments

Our residents at Bethanie Como came together for a delightful cooking class, whipping up golden loaves of banana bread. After the baking, it was time to savour their creations with a cuppa and a good chat. Nothing beats some shared stories and warm slices fresh from the oven. 💛
