It means so much to share this with your community 💛

The Inner Clue Detectives by Jacinta Kitanoski from Nurture & Empower OT is a gorgeous, OT-informed children’s book designed to help kids tune into their “inner clues” and better understand what their body is telling them. Through a fun detective theme, it gently supports interoception and emotional awareness, helping children recognise feelings before they become overwhelming ❤️

Jacinta is a wonderful supporter of All Stars, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful book with our community! You can use code Allstars20 for 20% off online toolkits ⭐️

You don’t need to get it perfect 🤍

But in the moment it can feel really hard to know what to say or do.

I hear this from parents all the time, and I’ve been in those moments too.

These moments can feel really overwhelming.

Not because you’re doing anything wrong.
But because there’s a lot happening for your child.

When your child is dysregulated, tired, or having a hard time, it’s not always clear how to respond.

It’s not about having the perfect words.
But it can help to have some gentle ideas to support you in those moments 🤍

This is exactly why I created my toolkits ✨

Instant download, you can start using tonight.

Adelaide Oval just became a little more supportive for families 🏟️

Game days can be exciting, loud, and overwhelming, especially for children navigating big environments.

You’ll now find The Inner Clue Detectives permanently in the sensory room at Adelaide Oval

With Adelaide Football Club taking on Fremantle Dockers this Good Friday, families now have access to gentle support when it’s needed most 🤍

A space to pause, reset, and tune into what their body is telling them, even in the middle of the action.

Such a special step forward in making these spaces more inclusive ✨

April is Autism Awareness Month 🤍

And something so many families quietly experience…

“They were fine all day at school…
then everything falls apart at home.”

This can be masking.

Some children spend the whole day coping, copying, staying quiet, pushing through —
often missing or overriding their inner clues along the way.

So when they get home…
their body just can’t hold it in anymore.

It all comes out.

Not because they’re being “difficult”…
but because they’ve used up everything they had.

Home is where it finally feels safe to let go 🤍

And that’s where understanding matters most ✨

Spent some time at Scitech today and the reading area in Discoverland was full of families 🤍

Kids sitting, exploring, flipping through books… such a beautiful space to slow things down.

And tucked on the shelf was The Inner Clue Detectives ✨

Such a special feeling seeing it there, ready for little hands to pick up in a space like this.

A gentle way to help children tune into their inner clues, in their own time.

There are also a couple of extra copies available during the low sensory sessions 🤍

If you’re visiting, keep an eye out ✨

The noise, the crowds, the excitement… it can be a lot for little bodies.

You’ll now find The Inner Clue Detectives in the Sensory Room at — available for families to use during events 🤍

A gentle way to help children tune into their inner clues, one clue at a time, even in big, busy environments ✨

So proud to support my home town, and one of Australia’s largest stadiums 🤍

Some children get louder when they’re overwhelmed.
Some get quieter.

Both are communication.

But the quiet ones are easy to miss.

The child who walks away.
The child who shuts down.
The child who says “I’m fine.”

They’re not necessarily okay.
They’re just doing their best to cope.

Often, these are quieter inner clues- signals from the body that something doesn't feel right.

And in those moments…
they don’t need to manage it on their own.

They need co-regulation.
A calm, trusted Detective Guide to help them tune into what their body is telling them.

🤍

In my work, this is something I'm really passionate about sharing with educators- because in classrooms, children don’t always present in obvious ways.
Sometimes the quietest children need the most support.

So excited to share that The Inner Clue Detectives will be part of a Sensory Session at Scitech this weekend🤍✨

I created this book to gently support children to tune into their inner clues, so seeing it being used in a real-life sensory space feels really special.

If you’re heading along this Saturday, you’ll be able to explore it during the session🔍

It will also be permanently available in Discoverland at Scitech , so families can access it anytime they visit.

Feeling really grateful to be part of spaces that support children in this way✨

If you do spot it, I would love to hear 🤍
