Lesson #167 – Reconnect with the you that you were most proud of.

Reconnect with the you that you were most proud of. Not the polished highlight reel, but the version that stood a little taller because your choices lined up with your values. Think of the season when your word meant something to you, when your mornings began with intention, when you took the call that scared you and did it anyway. That self did not arrive by accident. They were built from small daily proofs stitched together with honesty and follow-through, and they are still within reach.

Begin by remembering what made that version feel solid. Was it movement that cleared your head? Was it work that asked for your full attention? Was it a boundary you kept even when it would have been easier to fold? Bring back one ritual that anchored you then, not as nostalgia but as an act of respect. Play the album that held you together. Revisit the place that reminded you who you are. Call the friend who tells you the truth in a way that makes you braver. Let your body recognise the ground beneath an old steady rhythm, then let that rhythm carry you into new terrain.

Lesson #155 - Your first love should have been yourself.

But let’s be honest. It probably wasn’t.

It was likely someone who couldn’t hold your heart because they hadn’t even found their own. Someone who mirrored your ache, your hope, and your need to be chosen, and you called it fate. And maybe, for a while, it felt like it was.

But the love you were looking for wasn’t in their hands.

It was in the parts of you you’d abandoned to be more “lovable.”
It was in the silence after the texts stopped.
It was in the mirror when you were still enough to see your own worth without their reflection confirming it.

Your first love should have been the one who stayed. The one who never asked you to shrink, contort, or perform. The one who knew your language without you having to translate.

And that love? It was supposed to be you.

So if you missed that the first time, go back. Be your first love now. Fall stupidly, unapologetically, and obsessively in love with you.

Because once you do that? Every other love has to rise to meet it. Self-love isn’t a trend. It’s the original soulmate contract.
