Beautiful order we created 💫

This was a very special piece for us. Our client shared a photo of a Santa sack lovingly made by her mum many years ago for her children, and now she wanted the same design recreated for her granddaughter.

We carefully copied the original, measured every detail, and stitched each letter and the Christmas tree to match the original size and style. So much love and nostalgia went into this one 🥰

And yes… this sack is so big it can fit a child inside 🤭
(A little secret we probably shouldn’t say… but even I fitted in it 🙈😂)

People sometimes say “It’s just embroidery, why does it cost that much?”

Well… it’s definitely not just putting something on a machine and pressing a magic button (if only! 😅).

Embroidery is a little piece of art. Each item needs its own care and attention:
🧵 creating or digitising the design
🧵 working in two different softwares
🧵 measuring the exact placement
🧵 setting up the machine, frame and thread colours
🧵 then watching it like a hawk

When it’s finally done – trimming, backing, and cleaning up…
and finding the scissors is usually the most hardest part 😂

Handmade isn’t fast… but it’s special 💛

Aussie joke:
Even the machine needs a cuppa break — it’s basically Aussie! 🇦🇺☕😄

This gorgeous Santa sack was a client order, but they changed their mind last minute, and we’ve been left with another personalised item we can’t reuse 😔

Unfortunately this has been happening way too often lately, so we may have to start asking for upfront payment for all personalised orders.
