Mooditj Leader Training is coming to Rockingham!

SHQ's hands-on capacity building course builds the confidence and knowledge of youth workers to yarn with young Aboriginal people about relationships and sexual health and support them to make positive and informed choices about their wellbeing and relationships.

Today we celebrate and acknowledge the incredible work of Aboriginal Health Practitioners across the country, especially our very own Jordan, who has been an important part of the Babbingur Mia team for the past 6 years.

Jordan is the glue that holds our service together. As an Aboriginal Health Practitioner, she works closely with families across every stage of life, from antenatal and postnatal care, through to child health and adult health. Her deep genuine compassion and strong connections with community make her an invaluable part of our team and the care we provide.

Aboriginal Health Practitioners are essential in delivering culturally safe, holistic healthcare. They walk alongside clients, build trust, and ensure that services meet the unique needs of Aboriginal people.

Happy National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day.

Today we recognise and celebrate the strength and resilience of our Kulungurs (children).

At Babbingur Mia, children’s health is at the heart of what we do. We know that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children are more likely to experience health inequalities, discrimination, and disadvantage than their non-Indigenous peers.

That’s why we provide culturally safe and supportive care that helps our Kulungars grow up strong and healthy!
