I had an exellent question today about bruising and how to minimize downtime after treatment . Here is the response that should assist with minimal bruising

Botox and dermal fillers are among the most effective non-surgical aesthetic treatments available today. While both procedures are relatively quick with minimal downtime, temporary bruising at the injection site can occur. The good news? With a few simple preparations, you can help reduce your chances of post-treatment bruising and enjoy a smoother recovery.

To reduce the risk of bruising, consider avoiding substances that thin the blood for 5–7 days prior to your appointment. These include:

Aspirin, ibuprofen, and other NSAIDs
Fish oil and high-dose vitamin E
Herbal supplements such as ginkgo biloba
Alcohol, especially 24–48 hours beforehand
2. Take Arnica montana
Arnica is a natural supplement often recommended to help minimize bruising and inflammation. Consider starting oral arnica 2–3 days before your treatment and continuing for a few days afterward. Some patients also find topical arnica useful post-procedure.
3. Use a Cold Compress
Applying a cold compress for 5–10 minutes both before and after the procedure can help constrict blood vessels and reduce the likelihood of bruising. Be sure to protect your skin with a clean barrier between the ice pack and your face.
