As my clinical skills continue to develop through my Physiotherapy studies, I am now offering appointments at my home (or yours) focused on hands on manual therapy ๐Ÿ™Œ

โ€ขMassage, trigger point release and other soft tissue techniques ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™‚๏ธ
โ€ขMuscle scraping / Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ”ง
โ€ขJoint Mobilizations ๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ
โ€ขCorrective and Therapeutic Exercise Prescription ๐Ÿ’ช

These sessions can be focused on rehab, recovery or general health and wellbeing.

Manual Therapy Sessions can be location specific (ie. neck & shoulders) or full body.

The focus of treatment will be to help you return, pain free to the activities you love!

Assume the ยฝ kneeling position with the front leg further away from the wall, and feet actively pushing into the ground.

For the shoulder CARโ€™s (Controlled Articular Rotationโ€™s), limit movement coming from the hips and spine by keeping your core engaged and pelvis and chest pointed ahead. Draw large circles on the wall and as the arm goes overhead feel for the natural switch from the back of the hand to palm touching the wall. Perform both ways.ย ย As control throughout your ROM improves you will be able to move closer to the wall.

Thoracic rotations also be performed from the ยฝ kneeling by moving closer to the wall so the tip of shoulder or hips touches. Exhale as you rotate, leading the way with your thumb. The focus of the rotation should be in your mid to upper back, also referred to as the thoracic spine.

Use these two mobility exercises as part of a warmup, cool down, morning routine or as a movement break from your daily activities.

Scapular retraction strength and control with a fractured elbow.

Antoine rips ๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธ and we want to maintain strength in all areas we can while his elbow heals. When elbow movement is allowed again, rehab and recondioning will much easier as aฤบl other areas will still be strong and ready to get back in the water!
