✨ As we move into the new year, I’m deeply grateful for the continued trust and word-of-mouth support that allows Awaken the Light Therapeutics to grow in a sustainable and intentional way.
🌹Beginning January 2026, I’m introducing an updated referral thank-you program. When an existing client refers someone new and that person completes their first full-price, paid treatment, both the referring client and the new client will receive $25 off a future treatment. After a client reaches their fifth completed referral, they will receive a one-time $50 discount on a treatment.
🌹All referral discounts apply to any regularly priced service, have no cash value, cannot be combined with other promotions, gift cards, or discounts, and are limited to one referral discount per visit. Discounts are applied only after the referred client’s appointment has been completed, are non-transferable, and do not apply to complimentary treatments, add-ons, missed appointments, or cancelled sessions. Massage therapy in Halifax deserves to be recognized and regulated as a true healthcare profession. When a profession is regulated, it gains the same legitimacy as physiotherapy and chiropractic, which means standardized training, stronger safety practices, and clear accountability. Clients can feel confident knowing they’re receiving care from practitioners who meet consistent, evidence-based standards.

Regulation would also make massage therapy far more affordable and accessible. Removing the 14% HST alone would immediately reduce the financial burden for people who need ongoing treatment. It would also strengthen and simplify insurance coverage, making claims easier, more consistent, and recognized across all providers. When care is more affordable, more people can access the treatment they need.

To make this happen, we need community voices pushing for change. Write or email your local MLA, support regulatory petitions, and share why regulated massage matters for public health and affordability. The more people who speak up, the more pressure the province feels to treat massage therapy as the essential healthcare service it truly is.
