Caring Forward Study The IWK Health Centre is looking to learn more about the experiences of unpaid caregivers of acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors in Canada.

Caring Forward is an online study developed by The Centre for Research in Family Health, located at the IWK Health Centre. The goal of the study is to learn more about the experiences of unpaid caregivers of acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors. In Canada, there is limited support for caregivers of ABI survivors. We want to change that. The long-term goal of our research is to create programs that support caregivers and improve well-being.



If you care for a loved one with an acquired brain injury, you may be eligible to participate. The person you care for could be a child, a sibling, a friend, a spouse, a parent, or a relative.

Caring Forward Study - IWK Health Centre.

A study for caregivers of acquired brain injury survivors in Nova Scotia. The goal of the Caring Forward project is to learn more about the experiences and challenges of unpaid caregivers of acquired brain injury (ABI) survivors in Nova Scotia. We will use the information gathered from Caring Forward to create new programs and supportive resources for caregivers.
