Dr. Arielle Petropolis was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and a Certificate in Disability Management. Growing up with many passionate healthcare practitioners in the family and exposure to many sports, including basketball, swimming, and competitive squash, Dr. Petropolis always knew that she wanted to help others achieve optimal health and function. Her understanding of the importance of quality of movement and function grew through previous injury while training for and competing at two Canada Winter Games as a member of the NS squash team. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Petropolis had opportunities to work as an assistant in various multidisciplinary clinics and discovered chiropractic care. She was so inspired by the effectiveness of chiropractic care that she furthered her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic. At this time, she also completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University and received training in Mental Health First Aid. Dr. Petropolis is passionate about treating all populations for their health needs. She has a special interest in treating neck and back pain and dysfunction, headaches, and TMJ issues. She is also interested in women’s health, including pregnancy and pre/post-natal care. Dr. Petropolis believes that collaboration is important for patient-centered care and looks forward to helping people achieve their goals related to health, recovery, and/or performance. Dr. Petropolis is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors. In her time away from work, she enjoys cooking, being active, and being outdoors on the beautiful trails and coastal areas of the Maritime provinces.
