Hi everyone, I am Batsala, the host & organizer of Haligonian Vendor Market. I am a Q***r Immigrant woman who came to Canada as an international student in 2017. After finishing my college from Mississauga Ontario, I moved down to Nova Scotia where I set my roots and felt a deep connection to this land.

My intention behind starting the Haligonian Vendor Market is to create an equal space to bring all small businesses together to support their work and celebrate their journey. A safe and inclusive space where everyone is equal, no matter where you come from and what your story is.

We started this market in September of 2023 and are still growing beautifully to this day. It fills my heart with deep gratitude seeing the community show up at our markets and support its local businesses.

I also run another business called The Himalayan Priestess where I offer Tarot Readings & Reiki sessions and host community ceremonies & gatherings.

I tried to be the Sun my whole life but turns out I am the Earth. I see myself in the land, in the oceans, in the nature, in all of it. My connection with the Earth feels ancient. This is not my first time connecting with the elemental magic. It feels like I’ve been doing this for lifetimes and there’s more to come. Lately I’ve been feeling a call to connect more with the energy of Gaia and work with her. So grateful that I answered this call and welcomed her magic in this lifetime ✨✨✨

I got this Heart Chakra Singing Bowl specifically for the ceremony. This attunes you to your heart frequency and the healing effects of this particular sound feel calming and supportive in the moment✨

This has two different frequencies - first is 1111hz which brings the universal frequencies in through your Crown and the second is 432hz which harmonizes those frequencies into your Heart💚

✨It feels bittersweet leaving this space where I held my first reiki session

✨This is where I opened up the space to the community for gatherings and ceremonies

✨This is where I did so much of my own shadow work and journeyed with plant medicine

✨This is where I deepened my gifts and trusted this path fully

✨This is the first place in all the 25 years of my life where I truly built a home. I am so deeply grateful that I got to live here and call it my home.

Even though I am super excited for the new space but saying goodbye to this part of me feels sad

The reiki I held here yesterday for one of my friends felt magical and other worldly

Spaces for Reiki and Tarot are still available until August 25th. Then i am closing the space for 10 days. Slots have been updated.
