TODAY IS OUR 4DX CLINIC!

Today we are offering a reduced rate to have your dog tested for tick-borne diseases such as Lyme and anaplasmosis!

The 4DX test is done in hospital, and requires a quick blood draw with one of of RVTs. Results will be shared same day via a phone call. In the event of a positive results, an exam with one of our amazing veterinarians will be required to discuss treatment plans.

We are hosting our second 4DX clinic of the summer this week on Wednesday August 6th from 9am-5pm! This is a great opportunity to have your dog tested for tick-borne diseases such as Lyme and Anaplasmosis which is impacting the lives of so many dogs in Nova Scotia. Plus, the test is being offered at a discounted price!

The 4DX test is done in hospital, and requires a quick blood draw with one of of RVTs. Results will be shared same day via a phone call. In the event of a positive results, an exam with one of our amazing veterinarians will be required to discuss treatment plans.

We request that you call our clinic ahead of time to be scheduled in to allow us to best prepare for the clinic and avoid prolonged waiting times for you and your furry friends. That being said, walk-ins are welcomed and we do not require you to be an existing client at our hospital.

As of January 1st, 2025, we have diagnosed 43 cases of Lyme and 55 cases of Anaplasmosis.

Tick season is a year round issue and we recommend treating with parasite preventatives (like Nexgard, Nexgard Spectra, and Bravecto) all year - even during the colder months! We also offer a yearly vaccination for Lyme disease that adds some extra protection for your furry friends!

We are also very excited to announce another 4DX clinic to test your furry friend for tick borne diseases at a discounted price on August 6th! We encourage you to call ahead to book in a spot for this clinic, but we will also be accepting same day walk-ins! All results will be relayed same day, but positive results will require an exam with a DVM to discuss treatment options.

Feel free to call the clinic at 902-455-7292 for more information, to pre-order your parasite prevention, be tested for tick borne diseases, schedule in for our next 4DX clinic on August 6th, or to schedule a visit with a veterinarian to update your dog's Lyme vaccination and get an updated prescription for flea/tick preventatives!

Unfortunately a deceased Male tabby cat was brought into our clinic today after being hit by a car. He was found on the bicentennial highway (102) before exit 1D to Dunbrack st.
