Often the women I have worked with have spent years thinking they're the problem, because that's what they were told or lead to believe.

That they need to try harder.
Be more disciplined.
Do more but be less (IYKYK)

The truth is, it's generally not a lack of effort.
Often, women with ADHD are actually putting in an incredible amount of effort
but somehow still feel like they're coming up short.

You're not alone in that, and you don't have to figure it out on your own.

ADHD isn’t just about attention, organization, or time management.

For many adults, it also comes with years of misunderstanding, criticism, and internalized beliefs about themselves.

romantic love and for many people, that can feel meaningful… but also limiting.

Love isn’t only found in partners.
It shows up in friendships where you don’t have to explain yourself.
In family relationships that shaped how you understand connection.
In the steady companionship of a pet.
And in the way you grow to love and care for yourself over time.

Our mental health isn’t built from one relationship alone.
It’s shaped by the many places we experience safety, acceptance, and belonging.

January is not a deadline.
It’s a transition month, not a reset button.

If you’re midway through the month and
already feeling like you’re not meeting your goals,
that things feel unsustainable,

it’s okay.

Change is not linear.
It’s often messy, slow, and harder than we expect.

There is no timeline for clarity or growth.

Many of us learned to survive by ignoring the younger parts of ourselves that were hurting.

In this space, we focus on gently reconnecting with those parts—offering them the care, safety, and compassion they didn’t receive before.

Reparenting isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about learning to meet yourself with kindness, curiosity, and patience.

Getting diagnosed with ADHD as an adult can feel like suddenly finding the missing piece to a puzzle you didn’t even know you were working on.

One minute you’re scrolling TikTok thinking, “Why are they describing my life?”
The next, you’re looking back at everything wondering:

“How did nobody catch this?”
“Was I just masking that well?”
“Is this why I keep walking into rooms and forgetting why I’m there?”
“Am I allowed to grieve this?”

Yes, you are.

Late diagnosis often brings a wave of relief and a wave of grief.
Things start to make sense, but you also see all the ways you were misunderstood, pushed too hard, or too hard on yourself.

If you're in that space between clarity and confusion, grief and growth, you're not alone.
You are not broken. You are not lazy.
Your past makes more sense than you've been told.

This is where healing begins.
This is where you learn how your brain really works.
And maybe, finally, start treating it with more kindness 💛
