The office of Community Engagement, Dalhousie Medical School, will be hiring an Outreach Assistant for the academic year starting September 2026.

Our office supports faculty, staff, and students through educational activities and resources targeting Social Accountability and Global Health issues. We are a team of health care professionals, educators and managers who work with a network of people and community organizations committed to promoting better and more equitable health worldwide through the production and use of relevant knowledge.

We are looking for an Outreach Assistant (10 hours per week) to support our social media, story telling and event activities.

🎬 The Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management, and Perioperative Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology are pleased to host a complimentary film screening in celebration of diversity in healthcare.

The featured film, Nurse Unseen, highlights the often-overlooked history and contributions of Filipino-American nurses who risked their lives on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic amidst a rise in anti-Asian hate incidents.

Red Dress Day is a national day of awareness for Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, and Girls, honoring those taken by colonial and gender-based violence while demanding justice and systemic change.

It began with Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project in 2010, using empty red dresses to symbolize the lives lost.

A reminder of the ongoing crisis and a call to remember, act, and stand in solidarity. 🌹

No more stolen sisters. ❤️
