Every stance tells a story 👣☀️

The way your shoes wear down, how you stand, and even how you walk can reveal a lot about your posture and movement patterns.

Summer footwear like flip flops and flat sandals often lack support, which can place extra stress on your feet, knees, hips, and lower back especially during busy summer months when we are on our feet more often.

A few signs to watch for:

- Uneven wear on your sandals
- Flattened soles or insoles
- Foot fatigue after walking
- Pain that travels beyond your feet

Your feet are your foundation.

Supporting them properly can help you move better, feel better, and walk with confidence all summer long 👟☀️

Some of the little things we heard in the clinic this week 🤍

“I thought this was normal.”
“I finally slept through the night after my appointment.”
“Is my back supposed to sound like that?”

We hear things like this every single week in clinic.

And most of the time, people are surprised by how much better their body can actually feel once they stop pushing through the discomfort.

Helping people move and feel better is why we love what we do.

Being in pain should not be your normal!

As Massage Therapist's, we see so many people wait until they are exhausted or in pain before taking care of themselves.

Stress builds up physically more than people realize. It leads to tight shoulders, headaches, jaw tension, low back pain… your body keeps score.

Our goal of treatment is not only to address pain, but to improve function, mobility, and overall quality of movement.

Taking care of yourself should not be a luxury. 🤍

We hope everyone had a great long weekend!

⛳ Golf season is here!

Even though golf may not seem physically demanding, repeated swings, twisting movements, and long hours on the course can lead to strain and discomfort over time.

Some of the most common areas golfers experience pain are the lower back, shoulders, elbows, hips, and wrists.

Taking time to warm up, stretch, stay hydrated, and listen to your body can help reduce the risk of injury and keep you feeling your best on the course.

If pain or stiffness is affecting your game, chiropractic care may help improve mobility and reduce tension so you can get back to playing comfortably.

⛳ Happy Monday, today we are talking about preventing injuries before they start.

Golf should feel good not leave you sore for days afterward.

A few simple ways to help prevent injury on the course:

- Warm up before your first swing
- Stretch your back, shoulders, and hips.
- Stay hydrated while playing
- Take breaks if your body feels tired
- Do not ignore aches and pains

Small movements repeated over and over can put stress on the body, especially the back, shoulders, elbows, and hips.

Taking care of your body can help you enjoy the game longer and more comfortably.

Have fun and play safe this week! ⛳

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today we are talking about gardening.

One of the most common issues we see this time of year is low back strain from prolonged bending and poor lifting habits.

Here are a few quick tips to protect your back:

• Bend at your hips and knees, not your waist
• Keep items close to your body when lifting
• Avoid twisting while carrying or pulling
• Change positions every 10–15 minutes

Small adjustments can make a big difference.

If your back is already feeling tight after yard work, do not ignore it address it early.

With warmer weather finally here, many of us are getting back into the activities we enjoy most especially gardening and golf.

While these are great ways to stay active, they also come with a common pattern we see this time of year: doing too much, too quickly.

This month at Health First Chiropractic, we are focusing on:

• Preventing gardening related strain
• Staying injury free on the golf course
• Simple ways to protect your back, joints, and muscles
• Helping you stay active without setbacks

Our goal is to keep you moving well all season not recovering from avoidable injuries.

Follow along this month for practical tips to help you stay healthy, active, and pain free.
