Spring is here and so is spring cleaning season.
While it feels great to freshen up your space, it is also a time when many people experience back, neck, and shoulder pain from overdoing it.
Here are some simple ways to protect your body:
• Bend your knees when lifting, not your back
• Keep items close to your body
• Avoid twisting while carrying things
• Take breaks and don’t try to do everything at once
• Do a few light stretches before and after
• Switch sides when sweeping or vacuuming to avoid overuse
A few small changes can go a long way in preventing injury.
