Ever wonder why dentists recommend taking out wisdom teeth, even if they’re not bothering you yet? Here's why:

👉 Not Enough Space – Most mouths simply don’t have room for extra molars, which can crowd or damage other teeth.

👉 Impaction – Wisdom teeth often get stuck under the gums or only partially come in, leading to pain, swelling, or even cysts.

👉 Hard to Clean = Higher Risk of Decay & Infection – Because they’re so far back, they’re tough to keep clean. This can lead to gum disease, cavities, or infections like pericoronitis.

👉 Prevent Bigger Problems Later – It’s often easier (and less painful!) to remove them before the roots are fully formed and complications arise.

👉 Ortho & Dental Work Interference – Wisdom teeth can mess with braces, aligners, crowns, bridges, or dentures.

We see emergency patients from other clinics all the time—and they’d do the same for us! 🫶

🔹 3. Head to the ER
If you’ve tried everything and you’re still in pain 😣, the Emergency Room is always a last-resort option 🚑.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is now accepting applications for every age group. This is a great option for those who have no access to dental insurance through work, school, or through spouse or parent. Eligible individuals can apply for the CDCP through canada.ca website. Once approved you will receive an insurance card through Sunlife and we'll be able to direct bill the program
