🎨In Part 2 both cohorts of participants from the fall and winter will come together to create a zine celebrating 2S/LGBTQIA+ dating and relationships, as well as plan and coordinate a public event to launch their zine.

We are excited to announce that , in partnership with and are launching the Dart Sexual Health Leadership Scholarship.

This scholarship is for anyone going into a post-secondary program in Nova Scotia that wants to pursue studies and provide services in sexual health.

You must be a Nova Scotia resident, provide a one-page letter including why you want to go into sexual health and what experiences you have in sexual health leadership, and a resume. The deadline to apply is April 1st, 2026.

Please note, on days without medical staff:
- We are unable to give/sell birth control or emergency contraceptives.
- There is no nursing support for phone calls.

Virtual and physio clinics will occur as scheduled.

Please make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to fill prescriptions, injection supplies, and return phone calls.

To better serve clinical flow and follow-up, admin phone hours have changed:

Mondays 9-5
Tuesdays 9-8 (when a provider is scheduled for the evening shift, otherwise phones turn off at 5)
Wednesdays 9-5
Thursdays 9-5
Fridays 9-12

Phones are off everyday from 12-1 for lunch.

Today, for International Volunteer Day, we want to share a special shout-out to and celebrate our clinic volunteers! At HSHC, we use our volunteers for aiding the admin team, running the reception desk, answering phone calls, and booking appointments. They often complete special projects with us, help with fundraising, and more! Our volunteers are crucial to the function of HSHC, where we are often at absolute capacity in terms of our staffing. Thank you to our incredible volunteer team!

We accept new volunteers in batches! If you are interested in volunteering at Halifax Sexual Health Centre, please fill out an application on our website (hshc.ca/volunteer or link in bio) and we’ll be in contact during our next round of onboarding.

Heads up HSHC community! ✨ The Board of Directors of HSHC will be randomly surveying people who have visited us more than once since 2023 and have consented to Mikata to ask for their perspective on who should be represented on HSHC’s board.
