Hey you know about storm chips, storm drinks, storm snacks and storm parties and probably other bad weather related events. In Saskatchewan it's so flat, people go to friends homes on the edge of farm fields to watch the storms roll into town. Well folks its time to learn about storm vegetables!
Every stormy weekend negatively hits farmers sales from farmers markets. We dont plan for storms, no one does, but what I want to make known is that stormy weekends really hit farmers hard in one way and potentially more depending upon that storm.
The on farm market will be closed this weekend on Saturday. Hopefully the storm is over by Sunday for the Spryfield Farmers market.
If you would like some produce this week before Saturday let me know! Message me here or contact 902 880 1027.
Theres lots of tomatoes, jalapenos, zucchini and cucumbers, salad turnips, radishes, basil, kale, swiss chard and eggplant.
Thank you! Tell your friends, tell people who you know who go to farmers markets. Us farmers still have food for you! Reach out to your local farmer all across the province! Get stocked up for the storm with the best !
