Starting 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, Brunswick St. will be fully closed 24/7 starting at the Sackville St. intersection for approximately four weeks due to HRM construction (intersection upgrades, including underground utility work).

𝗘𝘆𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗲…𝗘𝘆𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 - Children in pre-primary and primary may be eligible for a 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 pair of eyeglasses through this province-wide program—making it easier than ever to start the school year seeing clearly.

𝗘𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀
• are living in Nova Scotia (with a valid MSI card)
• in grades pre-primary or primary
• will be 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗠𝗦𝗜 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺, once every two years, until their 10th birthday (unless a condition exists that requires more frequent monitoring).

Vision plays a big role in learning, and many vision problems can go unnoticed in young children. A comprehensive eye exam before school can help set them up for success in and out of the classroom.

Our optometrists recommend the Optomap retinal scan for both children and adults. It provides a more complete view of the retina and supports early detection of eye conditions. While not covered by MSI, it offers enhanced screening and an extra level of care for your eye health.

☀️ National Sunglasses Day – June 27 😎
More than just a fashion statement, sunglasses are essential protection for your eyes.

Dr. Noah is about to begin a brand-new adventure — it’s her final week at the clinic before heading off on maternity leave! 💫 She’s getting ready to welcome her very first little one, and we couldn’t be more excited for her.

She’ll be back in October, but for now, let’s wish her all the best as she steps into this beautiful new chapter! 💕

Not Goodbye, Just See You Soon 💙

Today marks Roberta’s last official day before she takes a well-earned summer break—but don’t worry, she’ll be back part-time in the fall as she eases into a her much anticipated pre-retirement schedule. After 39 incredible years at Insight (yes—thirty-nine!), she’s become part of the fabric of this place, and it just won’t be the same without her day-to-day presence.

It’s safe to say—there won’t be a dry eye in the clinic today (pun fully intended). 😉

We’ll miss everything about her—her dedication, her perfectly timed tea breaks, her no-nonsense attitude, and of course, her quick wit.

Roberta, we hope your summer is full of vanning adventures with Pat, giggles with granddaughter Lucy, and all the workouts your heart desires.

Don’t worry about us—we’ll hold the fort down until September. 💙💐
