Our clinic will be closed May 16–18 for the Victoria Day long weekend. We hope everyone enjoys a relaxing and safe weekend filled with fresh air, sunshine (hopefully), and time with the people who matter most. ☀️

And if the sun does make an appearance, don’t forget your sunglasses — UV protection matters year-round (even on cooler or cloudy days). 😎

We’re so excited to celebrate Chelsea on successfully completing her CCOA program (Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant)!

Since returning in 2021 after welcoming her twin girls, Chelsea has continued to grow within the clinic; from welcoming patients at the front desk to now working in specialized testing, all while expanding her skills and knowledge through the CCOA program.

If you’ve met Chelsea, you’ve likely already experienced the caring and kind energy she brings to both patients and coworkers every day (with plenty of humour mixed in too).

Outside of work, you’ll usually find her reading, spending time with family at their remote camp, or visiting one of her favourite local spots, Studio East.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 — a reminder that healthy vision matters at every age and for the whole family.

Last month, we were proud to be part of the Pregnancy & Parenting Expo at the Westin Nova Scotia. It was such a wonderful opportunity to connect with new families and talk about how much vision impacts early development, learning, confidence, and everyday life—and how many vision concerns can go unnoticed without a comprehensive eye exam.

One of the biggest surprises for many new and expecting parents? The first recommended eye exam is between 6–9 months of age.

Couldn’t be happier with our Kindness Lounge for the TEMA Foundation Education Day tomorrow. Thanks to for embracing our vision and to Shannon for bringing it to life.

We recognize that discussions around mental health and lived experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming. During the event tomorrow, our Kindness Lounge will be available for anyone who may need a quiet time away for the sessions. The space is designed to be calm and comfortable, offering a place to pause, reset, and take care of yourself. Noise cancelling headphones and ear plugs are available. And of course, help yourself to our chocolate glasses and bring a kindness rock home, if you would like.

TEMA has played an important role in our team’s healing process and we will be forever grateful.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝟮 is officially out today and… we couldn’t resist. 👠 Nick and Lorraine embraced the moment with a subtle homage—stepping out in Prada eyewear and fully committing to the vibe.

Lorraine fully channelled Miranda, while Nick stepped in as the ever-dutiful assistant. He is very much giving Andy Sachs energy, cerulean blue sweater moment and all.

A big thank you to the team at Duggers for sharing your beautiful space with us.
