Sunscreen is a key part of any good skincare routine. We always tell our clients not to skip this step, even on overcast days -- the sun's rays can still damage your skin, causing premature wrinkles, fine lines, and hyperpigmentation.

Untinted sunscreen can be used alone or under makeup. If you prefer a one-step product, tinted sunscreen can even out your natural complexion and replace the need for multiple products. No matter which one you choose, make sure to reapply every couple of hours if you're spending lots of time outside! ☀️

What's the difference between an at-home peel and a medical-grade peel?

At-home peels contain lower concentrations of active ingredients and can be used to treat surface issues. This treatment is great for mild exfoliation and improved skin tone.

A medical-grade peel is administered and monitored in the clinic by a professional. Here's a great before-and-after photo of one of Sandra's laser hair removal clients!

This client recently came in for a 4th treatment on her face. She also had additional concerns about hyperpigmentation caused by wax burns. After a cycle of laser hair removal sessions with Sandra, her hyperpigmentation has subsided and her hair growth is minimal. She's so happy with the results and we're delighted to help our client regain her self-confidence!

Wondering about downtime and post-treatment care after a medical grade peel? Here's what to expect:

◆ Your skin might need a bit of extra TLC after your treatment. For the first 48 hours, avoid prescription retinoids, salicylic acid, AHAs or benzoyl peroxide and rinse your skin gently with water only as needed.
◆ Peeling and redness is normal for 3-5 days after your medical peel. The amount of peeling is based on the condition of your skin and is not an indication of the effectiveness of the treatment.
◆ Skip any vigorous activities and hot showers for at least 24 hours post-treatment to stay cool and avoid stressing your skin.
◆ Drink plenty of water and use a gentle facial moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated.
◆ Avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen that provides broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Don't skip this step, even in the winter or on overcast days!

Wondering if a medical grade peel is right for you? A medical grade peel is an effective way to refresh, brighten, tighten and illuminate the appearance of the skin through chemical exfoliation. A peel is a great way to manage a variety of skin concerns, including:
