This might look like a bad case of conjunctivitis. Instead it is a patient who had Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and suffered from severe damage to her eyelids
This very serious condition resulted in skin growing over her eyelid margin and rubbing against her cornea. Left untreated, this can lead to blindness
Grafts were taken from the inside of her mouth (buccal grafts) and used to reconstruct the eyelid margin. She is doing well 1 week after surgery.

This lovely patient was referred for increasing hooding of her upper eyelid area. The patient clearly has brow ptosis but had an aggressive upper eyelid blepharoplasty done elsewhere without diagnosing and addressing this
You can now see that correcting the brow ptosis will result in problems with eyelid closure (final photo). The upper eyelid stretch lines and lagophthalmos are clearly seen. Be careful with whom you trust your eyelids with!
