Here they are! The reason we do what we do!

Chapel has begun, it happens every Friday at 10:30am

We gather for worship a short message and lunch together. It really does mean the world to our residents and team when you join us. It’s an opportunity for these gentlemen to grow in healthy community in their own space. So many of the relationships formed at these services carry on long after graduation and are a significant part of their healthy futures.

Remembering our heroes today.

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,

Meals are cooked with love by Sharon all week long for residents, team and chapel. We recently lost one of our two MUCH needed ovens and so today is a massive shout out to our friend Gloria from Maitland who generously donated one!!! From all of us at the Helm….

Beautiful Friday today with dear pastor friends leading us in worship and the word. So very grateful for our amazing community who support the work the Lord is doing at the Helm. Come join us for open chapel and lunch every Friday at 10:30

Happy “gotcha” day to Lucy and Linus! Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since we brought them to the Helm. They have brought laughter, a sense of responsibility, growth in trust, taught nurturing and given so much love to our residents. Grateful for these dear creatures.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Today we are incredibly grateful for the amazing work the Lord is doing in the lives of our residents and for the wonderful community of staff, volunteers, local ministry friends, donors, neighbours and prayer warriors that support recovery. Bless you all!
