HICT Halifax

HICT Halifax Bridging the Gaps Between Innovation and Evidence This can be achieved with evidence-based project design.

The need to incorporate information and communication technologies into health care is progressively more evident. Technology provides new ways to make health care more patient-centered, affordable, accessible, efficient and convenient. Over the last three decades, the utilization of technology to improve health care has attracted interest from a wide range of clinicians, academics and developers. In order for innovation to be meaningful in the world of health care, it is critical to ensure it has a positive impact. With rapid developments in information technology and limited resources in health care, the integration of technological innovation and the best available scientific knowledge and clinical expertise is the key to making appropriate use of technologies and to improve health care. The goal of this second edition of HICT is to share the best of evidence based research and experience in the areas of health care technology and innovation.
