Recently, we gathered our teachers to share our thoughts, experiences, and to reinforce what it means to teach from a Trauma-Informed perspective. Trauma-Informed teaching is an inclusive approach to instruction, focusing on safety, empowerment, and agency rather than just physical alignment. It uses invitational language, and offers choices, allowing EVERYONE to reconnect with their bodies. Don’t get us wrong, alignment is also important to us...but there is no “perfect” form, or hierarchy of yoga poses.

The power in yoga comes from the privilege of having choice.

Join Jenn on April 8th at 6 pm for the beginning of a 4 class, small format workshop series that will familiarize you with the physical practice of yoga. Jenn will blend her passion for teaching yoga with her 20 years as an RMT to help you create opportunities to explore poses with openness and curiosity, learn about the use of props, and empower you to choose how your practice unfolds.

We’ve all been guilty of pining away for days gone by; whether it was the ease of youth, a special person in our lives, a knee that didn’t click in a squat (just me?).

This quote is not political, it is the plain truth.

Memories can be beautiful, but if we get stuck in them, it harms our ability to enjoy the present, and our willingness to step into the future.
