Why do we use earplugs ? A common question lately so let’s learn the whys!

Earplugs are used to keep the Epsom salt rich water out of your ears.👂 They also provide an added laying of noise reduction. 🔇

Disposables vs Reusables ?
For sustainable reasons we suggest buying a pair of our reusable silicone earplugs for 3$ upon arrival. We do, however, recommend always provide disposable foam ones in the room for you at no cost. If you have your own bring em’ on in ! 🩵

While there is no real to not harm to not wearing earplugs during your float, the issues may arise if you do not properly rinse your ears after your session. Salt can get into the ear canals and crystallize so we recommend rinsing VERY well with vinegar to make sure this doesn’t happen. Vinegar dissolves the salt 😊

We are without power! 🪫

We’ve contacted our morning folks to give them the heads up in case we need to cancel more appointments. But for now, we wait.

This is the second time in 4 weeks that we have lost power for no reason and have had to cancel appointments. Truly a kick in the dick and the ol’ pocket book.

Trying to move thru this all as if it’s just part of the dance. 🪩

Our final Float Ambassador Friday in our series of blogs. 😇

This week we have a piece from a former monthly member turned Joseph! 🥰

"....Aren’t you afraid of what you’ll think about?

This, my friend, is the big question: when the world is silent, where will my brain go? For some, the prospect of finally being able to hear one’s thoughts is really scary. Grief, sadness, anger, regret, pain are all emotions we tend to run from because it’s easier to run from them instead of spending time with them. I recently went through a difficult breakup, and I’ve noticed that while I’m still able to go out and do things I like (and usually still enjoy them), once I slow down, my brain immediately goes right back to the pain, almost like I have a song stuck in my head. Usually, my next step is to try to find something to distract myself. According to my ND, instead of distracting ourselves from feeling these emotions, it’s often better to feel these feelings and allow our brain to write the end of the song, instead of letting it loop over and over again......." to read the rest of his blog hop on our to TFC Blog page.🌱

Thanks for sharing your experiences Joseph, this is such a common question folks ask or a normal fear some have so it's nice to have your point of view❣️

Hi all!

Pearl’s office hours here at TFC are going to be greatly limited over the next few weeks. While the blasting has stopped, the rock breaking will continue for about 5 more weeks. This noise, coupled with the constant sifting, is just too much for Pearl’s sensitive little ears.

We all know how special Pearl is and we don’t want her personality to be adjusted from this ongoing nuisance. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done except leave her at home during the day.

We will update you folks for when her regular office hours resume.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

This Float Ambassador Friday we have a beautifully written blog from 😍☁️

".......... I had just reached the end of a stressful busy period and was offered a free float. I was in a tough spot in my life, feeling displaced, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself in a way that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it. Everything felt loud, busy, and demanding. I didn’t need more stimulation or advice. I needed space. Real space. Floating gave me that.

From the moment I entered the tank, the outside world began to disappear. The water held me effortlessly, warm and still, and as the minutes passed, the usual signals my body relies on, sound, sight, gravity, slowly faded away. There was no one else to perform for, no role to play, no expectations to meet. Just me, suspended in quiet.

What surprised me most was how familiar it felt. Floating brings me back to the way I thought as a kid, when being alone didn’t mean loneliness, but freedom.
There’s something powerful about experiencing the world without anyone else in it. Outside the tank, so much of who we are is shaped by interaction, conversations, responsibilities, reactions, noise. Floating strips all of that away. In that silence, I’m reminded that I exist beyond my productivity, beyond how I’m perceived, beyond the roles I play........" To keep reading the rest of this blog, hop on over to our TFC Blog page which you can find at the link in our bio.

Maybe you too are feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed lately? Maybe floating can help you return home to yourself like it did for Ziad. So happy they shared this piece with us. 🥹 We love you !!!💜💜💜
