Unleash and Reclaim Your Wild Feminine Self.
What does it mean to unleash and reclaim?
What does rewinding look like?
These are some questions I get often with an uncomfortable laugh by a stranger’s husband as she asks about book.
“What does it mean?” she often echoes leaning forward, hungry for it.
Chomping at the bit.
Feeling the chains and unable to recall how they got there.
Suddenly supremely aware of their tension, their weight.
Unleash means just as it sounds.
To let go.
To free yourself.
To notice those restrains and chains and layers of things you are covered in that aren’t even yours to carry and to step out of them.
Unleash means to notice all the ways you as a female have been molded and shaped and designed to be “just so” and to ask yourself if that’s truly how you want to live.
Is this you?
Is this in alignment with the you you want to become?
Is this fun for you?
Is this living a life that inspires you?
And it’s also about being fair to those around you and those who came before you.
It’s about being honest but not pointing fingers.
It’s realizing that while a lot of this conditioning and “good girl” training may be a restraint to you it was most often not done in malice or with ill intention.
Often it’s how we were kept safe.
Safe from threats and dangers.
Whether real or perceived.
Safe from the dangers of being naive and innocent.
Safe from dangers we are not allowed to speak of.
But you are grown now.
You are stronger now.
You are wiser now.
And there comes a time when you can no longer ignore the cuffs digging into your flesh and weighting your arms.
You can no longer breathe freely when you are bombarded with the awareness of the always present collar invisibly clasped around your neck.
And when this time comes, no matter your age you will resist.
You will seek freedom and have an insatiable appetite for the feeling of running far and fast.
You will feed on play and recharge on laughter and dance.
You will create and cook and love freely with an open and pure heart.
You will seek out adventure become acquainted with your sensuality.
You will reclaim all of yourself and embrace fully what it means to be female.
You will do so by rewilding.
Returning to the wild and curious self you once were before the world got its hands on you.
Returning to the wild and playful self you were before you learned of dangers lurking.
Returning to the wild and daring self you were before fear gripped its talons into you.
Returning to that little girl who has been tagging along wishing you to notice her.
Returning to her as the same person but stronger now.
Someone able to be wild and carefree and passionate and yet aware and wise to the ways of the world.
Capable of standing your ground and asserting boundaries.
Capable of using your voice and sword with confidence.
Unleash and return to your wild feminine self means simply to free yourself of the restraints of the world around you and stand tall in who you are, past, present and future.
It’s reclaiming all of yourself and living a life that not only inspires you but feeds you with wonder and excitement for all that is possible.
It starts as a quiet rebellion stirring in your bones.
A desire to lean in and hear more.
A sudden burst of hope in your chest that maybe there is something more.
It’s the realization that suddenly you are starving for something you’ve forgotten the taste of until now.
It’s the shock that suddenly jolts your heart back into rhythm and brings you back to life.
