ONE AWARD IS GREAT... BUT TWO?! THAT'S JUST AWESOME!!

We couldn't be prouder of our team at the Bea Fisher Bottle Depot who came away with not one, but TWO awards at the recent Alberta Bottle Depot Association AGM and awards night.

Bea Fisher won an Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC) award in recognition of our operational excellence AND the inaugural Beverage Container Management Board (BCMB) Gold Standard award for urban depots. The award recognizes that we consistently achieve industry standards and compliance thresholds, our committment to providing a high level of customer service and for overall clean and efficient operations.

The Bea Fisher Bottle Depot is an integral part of the Bea Fisher Group of Companies. Besides contributing additional revenue to help the Bea Fisher Centre improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, the Depot also creates competitive employment opportunties for individuals in our services and helps local organizations, clubs, schools, churches and other non profit orgnizations raise funds for their activities; over $100,000 in each of the past two years. We are among the largest bottle depots in Alberta and process over 23 million containers annually!

We're grateful that we operate in such an amazing community. Awards like these could not be earned without fantastic public support.

🍂 Quarterly Peer Recognition Fall 2025 🍂

It wasn't that long ago we were celebrating our staff and we are happy to do it again!

Thank you to the following employees for going above and beyond the Job Description and truly making Bea Fisher a great place to come to work every day: Daniel Golden, Tracey, and Cassandra Winterhalt. We'd like to again express how grateful our teams are to have such helpful colleagues, especially for the care they provide to the individuals we serve in and around our community.

Being a Direct Care Support Worker can mean many things, please join us in celebrating these three in their commitment to wearing many hats and doing so with pride! Congratulations again to the recipients and thank you to all of the staff who continue to nominate their co-workers, positivity is infectious!
