Sleep isn’t just rest for your body—it’s fuel for your mind. 💤

When we sleep well, our brain gets the chance to reset, process emotions, and store memories. It helps us regulate mood, think clearly, and handle stress with more ease. Without it, everything feels harder—patience runs thin, focus slips, and emotions can feel heavier. Prioritizing sleep isn’t lazy; it’s an act of caring for yourself that protects your mental health and strengthens your resilience.

😴 Tonight, give yourself permission to rest. Your mind will thank you.

I have been working on a new series of bookmarks for you and I can’t wait to share them! Here is a peak at one of my favourite mantra’s to live by.

Know that boundaries provide a guide as to how I would like to be treated, they are healthy.

Hi Everyone! Let's kick of this day with five things you might not know about me:

1. I started my personal therapy journey in 2021 after the loss of my mom

2. I have a dog who will be 17 years old in September

3. I started a vegetable garden this summer (the rabbits are winning)

4. Even as a therapist, I struggle with labeling my emotions and communicating them sometimes

5. I donated my hair for cancer 3 times.

Now what's one thing people might not know about you? Feel free to share below or message me privately.

Prioritizing mental health helps build and maintain stronger boundaries because it fosters self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a clear sense of personal needs and limits. When mental well-being is a priority, individuals are more in tune with what makes them feel safe, respected, and balanced—making it easier to recognize when a boundary is being crossed. Healthy mental functioning also supports assertive communication, reduces guilt around saying “no,” and empowers people to advocate for themselves without fear or people-pleasing. In turn, strong boundaries protect mental health by preventing burnout, resentment, and toxic dynamics—creating healthier relationships and a more stable sense of self.

One of my specialties in my practice is Reproductive Counselling.
This niche in my therapy services addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of reproductive decision-making. It supports individuals or couples navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, decisions about parenting, or choosing not to have children. This type of counselling can help manage stress, anxiety, grief, or guilt that may arise during reproductive experiences and ensures that mental well-being is prioritized alongside physical health. It also offers space to explore identity, values, and relationship dynamics, making it a vital component of comprehensive reproductive care.

Prioritizing your mental health helps you show up as your best, most grounded self in relationships. When you understand your emotions and needs, you communicate more clearly, set healthy boundaries, and handle conflict with more patience and empathy. Mental wellness allows you to connect from a place of confidence rather than fear or insecurity, which builds trust and deeper intimacy—whether in friendships, family, or romantic relationships. When you care for your mind, you make space to care for others in a healthy, balanced way.

Whether you're working on your mental health, chasing a dream, or making a life change—progress starts with one small move forward. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Start messy, start scared, just start. That first step might feel small, but it's the beginning of something bigger.

Life is like water—constantly moving, shifting, flowing.**
When the surface is calm, it reflects the world around it with clarity and grace. But when storms stir the water, the reflection becomes distorted, just like our thoughts in times of stress or struggle.

Stillness doesn’t mean perfection—it means giving ourselves space to pause, breathe, and gently let the ripples settle. In those quiet moments, we begin to see ourselves more clearly.

Like water, we are resilient. We bend, we flow, we reflect, we renew. 🌊💙

“You should just snap out of it”... The truth is mental health conditions aren’t something you can wish away with positive thinking or willpower. They’re real, complex, and often rooted in biological, psychological, and environmental factors.

Telling someone to “snap out of it” minimizes their struggle and adds shame to something already difficult. It’s like telling someone with asthma to “just breathe” or someone with a broken leg to “just walk.”

Mental health deserves the same compassion and treatment as physical health. Support, therapy, medication, and patience can make recovery possible—and no one should feel weak for needing help.

Let’s end the stigma and replace judgment with understanding.

🌱 Have you been on a fertility journey—past or present? We want to hear from you.

We’re gathering anonymous feedback to help fertility clinics better understand the real patient experience—beyond just the medical model. Your input will help highlight what clinics are doing well and where there’s room to grow, especially when it comes to supporting the emotional and mental health side of the journey.

📝 Take our quick needs assessment and be part of the change. Help us advocate for more compassionate, whole-person care in fertility treatment.
